“Hey now! I just spent four straight days working with the St. Louis Blues Society for the Soulard Roots and Blues Festival at Big Daddy's in Soulard. This is the second year that I have worked the festival, and I have to say we couldn't have picked a better venue for this festival. We had 30 bands from Friday to Monday and it went great.

It went great due to the hard work by the volunteers at the Blues Society, Andy Coco and his crew from Dogtown Records doing the sound, and the tremendous staff at Big Daddy's.

This review is actually meant to praise the people who own and run this bar. Ryan owns the place, and I can tell that he must be a great boss (besides being a stellar businessman). The staff was nice and helpful and cheerful and accommodating and I can't say enough about how they were so low stress, just like a four day barrage of festival goers was a normal occurrence. It was a wonderful experience (so was last year, but I forgot to leave a review) because of the staff. Thank you!

The food is surprisingly good at Big Daddy's and the drinks are priced fairly and poured well. I love the patio there, too. I think if you went there on a normal day you would have a similar experience with this place. You can tell these folks enjoy working there and working together. Great place, highly recommended.“

“I drive past this place a lot and never paid it any attention. My friend and I wanted some frozen drinks and food. When I say this place was a pleasant surprise. From the security to the ladies working at the bar we felt cared for. Even the other patrons were really nice. You can tell they are regulars there and we enjoyed that. The drinks were A1 in taste and buzz level. The only “issue” I had was the menu I read about online wasn’t as extensive. I had my heart set on something I didn’t see in person but that’s not a dealbreaker. They will see us again.“

“T is a wonderful and attentive bar tender. She greeted myself and my crew upon arriving, and she made sure that we were good throughout our visit. “FINALLY! - There is a restaurant that not only accepts my love for chips on sandwiches but embraces it with crunchy, cheesy, yummy Doritos! I didn't have them today but I will be sure to next time and there's gonna be a next time. I had the Bam Jam which is likely the most creative burger I've ever had- diner style smash with breaded melty, creamy goat cheese medallions coupled with a rich and flavorful bacon jam. So here's the thing, the place feels like a bungalow, the front door has a ripped plastic window (someone missed the sign that says open door here!) but the service couldn't have been more courteous and the food was crafted with precision and care. I'm as sure that they are going to fix the door as I'm confident that someone is going to accidently rip it again. That said, I almost like it ripped a little because it fits well with the unassuming atmosphere of this neighborhood gem. And it is a gem, with a great patio view of the city on the edge of two great neighborhoods - You should go there, eat, visit and enjoy!“

“We went for my nephews 30th birthday party which was held in their downstairs private room. We had a full bar and bartender and a buffet set up. The room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The tables and chairs were covered with cloth coverings. The restrooms were also clean with multiple stalls in the ladies room and the mens room. I would recommend the space for partys, showers, reunions, etc. Food was fresh, hot and tasted great too!“

“We went there as out of towners from Indiana. We had the strip steak sandwich, with waffle fries . It was Great! Nice atmosphere , the food was really good. It was a full house , our waitress Grace was busting butt and still gave us great service. The staff was really nice. We asked for a table , then changed our minds and wanted a booth instead, and the staff still was really nice about it. I give 5 stars.“

“Seamus is always our go to place to take our 3 young kids. They even have newly updated kids menus that have plenty of kid aproved foods and come with drinks! The patio is perfect on a nice day. The buffalo chicken sandwich is gigantic and delicious and the ranch it comes with is worth the price alone- SO good! Their burgers are huge and really good as well. The servers are always nice and attentive and the beers are always cold.“

“Would definitely recommend! In St. Louis, near the arch, had a toddler with us. After being spoken to rather rudely by a different brewery/bar (had made a reservation error for same brewery, different location that the brewery was very unhappy with and wouldn’t seat everyone even though NOT crowded) and going to another restaurant that wouldn’t accommodate a toddler (‘we only have high seats’) when it was not crowded either, we went to The Pitch. It was AWESOME! Great tasting salads and burgers! No overwhelming noise! Very courteous people there! Was so good our daughter went back for the next day lunch with colleagues and we went again for supper that evening! Burgers sooo good! Desserts sooo good! “Crazy awesome and fairly secretive spot - a former German restaurant turned Mexican restaurant turned 70's wood paneled rec room with some of the wildest experimental music shows in town. If they are serving food the street tacos are great but the Al Pastor burrito is a true hidden gem in St. Louis. Don't miss out on this spot when its open for its limited hours!“

“Wife and I decided to hit the easy button after walking nine holes and grab lunch at Ruthie’s. Had been years since I’d eaten there, and certainly delivered! Sat on the patio overlooking the 9th hole, and bartender came to take our drink and food orders. Had the 2nd Shift Brooligan, which was a great IPA. We split a toasted ravioli app and the Crush Burger. Ravs we’re good, burger was absolute fire. Fries were hot and crispy, the way they should be!

Got what I asked for, took a while to get it, but that's only because the kitchen and restaurant are a bit of a walk away from each other. The bar seats were full, which is typical for a hotel. Everyone else seemed content. Nothing wrong with the food at all.“
