“I was there for a few minutes. I’m not a drinker or someone you usually find at a bar but I love the hometown familiarity. Many people I grew up with were there. The owner is a fantastic, tough as nails, iconic type of woman. We need more business owners and entrepreneurs like her. I’ll write more when I have more to say! I believe Sue & her establishment deserve a full 5-star review.“

“My husband and I stopped in during the Pride event just looking for the first place we found with food, and not only was the music and atmosphere super cool, we got the chicken bacon ranch pizza, and I swear, it was THE BEST pizza 👏🏻 I’ve 👏🏻 ever 👏🏻 had. The service was great, the food was affordable. Can’t wait to go back!“

“If you’re anywhere near 1428 Tap Haus, do yourself a favor and stop in. The atmosphere is exactly what a neighborhood spot should be...homey, welcoming, relaxed, and full of good people. You can tell right away this isn’t some cookie-cutter bar. It feels like the kind of place where strangers become regulars after one visit. Misty and her daughter Mystical were incredibly friendly and made all of us Missouri guys feel right at home. Great service, great drinks, live music, and just an all-around good vibe from the moment you walk in the door. “Catfish the owner consummate bar owner he remembers everyone and makes a point to greet his customers personally. A Harley rider himself holds group rides on Saturdays during riding season. This is the local location of the annual Blessing of the Bikes . A large outdoor seating area with plenty of property for huge crowds attending several biker events each year. Always some free food on weekends as well as bar food for sale reasonabley priced beer and cocktails.“

I went on karaoke night, Tuesday, with DJ J-Nelz. I had a lot of fun Drink specials for my friends who drink (while I have something non-alcoholic). Prompt, friendly service from a bartender who has some pipes!

Comfortable couches with a variety of games to play with your friends plus an outdoor sitting area right on Main Street. There's a parking lot located in the back, so you don't have to park blocks away.“

Wheelchair assessable, inside is non smoking with a covered smoking area and plenty of seating. They also have pool tables and slot machines and free popcorn. One other thing their Hotwings are the bomb with their special sauce. Not to hot but hot enough to have one of their ice cold beers to wash it down and ready for another bite.“

“I've been there a few nights for the pool league on Wednesdays. It was pretty lively. It's a nice small bar with a beautiful patio out back. They have dart boards, slot machines, and an ok selection of beer and liquor. Good small bar vibe, cozy.“

“The staff, patrons, neighbors of this diamond neighborhood gem are second to none. Just moved in 2 blocks away from pub. Never crossed the Mighty Mississippi to grab a cocktail or beer. This establishment needs to be recognized by multiple news outlets for free marketing. Food Hella. No one is a stranger. Polite, courteous, extremely talented individuals behind the bar. I wasn't there long. Just popped in for a drink or two on my way to an event. Definately coming back as much as possible. Walked in and immediately felt a very welcoming vibe! The bartender (Sam) was great, and she overheard we were hungry for a pizza. She came over and gave us several recommendations, and we ended up going with her personal favorite (Bennie's). Sam, it was really good!!! Thanks for helping out a couple of strangers!! “I have been frequenting El Gato’s since the fall of 2020. I mostly go in only on weekends because I enjoy karaoke and I have a blast. The bartenders are friendly and attentive… the karaoke DJ Doug is amazing. He definitely broke me out of my shell to where I’ll sing alone“

“Went there with a friend of mine last night. I haven’t been there in about 30 years. The margaritas are homemade and very good. The food and service was also very good. We left our appetizers on the table when we went outside. When we came back they were gone. Not a big deal. We were already full and totally not upset about it. However, when this got back to the cook, he immediately came over to us, apologized profusely, and very kindly offered to make us new appetizers at no additional charge. We declined and told him it wasn’t a big deal, but it was very nice of him to come out and talk to us about it. I’ll definitely be back with MORE friends! 😊“

“The food here was absolutely delicious, the waitress was excellent and gave good recommendations, the outdoor seating was great. There was one small problem I had which was a dirty knife, it still had food residue on it. However the staff was very understanding and took care of it.“

The ladies to men ratio 3;1 the kitchen is open for appetizers while the music keeps you grooving with a fine mix of R&B Hip hop and Blues. The drinks are always happy hour prices. The whole decor and construction of the ultra-bar is a upscale scenario where as the price is not heavy on that wallet. Perfect balance the owner has pulled off. I highly recommend it.
