“If you’re anywhere near 1428 Tap Haus, do yourself a favor and stop in. The atmosphere is exactly what a neighborhood spot should be...homey, welcoming, relaxed, and full of good people. You can tell right away this isn’t some cookie-cutter bar. It feels like the kind of place where strangers become regulars after one visit. Misty and her daughter Mystical were incredibly friendly and made all of us Missouri guys feel right at home. Great service, great drinks, live music, and just an all-around good vibe from the moment you walk in the door. You can tell a lot about a place by the people running it, and 1428 Tap Haus has the kind of warmth and personality that keeps you wanting to come back. Looking forward to many more nights there!“

“I was there for a few minutes. I’m not a drinker or someone you usually find at a bar but I love the hometown familiarity. Many people I grew up with were there. The owner is a fantastic, tough as nails, iconic type of woman. We need more business owners and entrepreneurs like her. I’ll write more when I have more to say! “Wife and I stopped by while doing our own little bar hop visiting Belleville. First 2 places we visited we weren't impressed with. Saw Demos while looking for other options. Walked in and immediately felt a very welcoming vibe! The bartender (Sam) was great, and she overheard we were hungry for a pizza. She came over and gave us several recommendations, and we ended up going with her personal favorite (Bennie's). Sam, it was really good!!! Thanks for helping out a couple of strangers!! We will be back!!“

“Great food, drinks, and prices that are hard to beat! We especially love the burgers and pretzel bites. They also have slot machines, pool tables, and plenty of other bar games to keep you entertained.

The atmosphere is always welcoming, the service is great, and the prices are very reasonable. We enjoy it so much that we've made it a weekly stop. Definitely recommend checking this place out!“

“Food was delicious and reasonable.
Wheelchair assessable, inside is non smoking with a covered smoking area and plenty of seating. They also have pool tables and slot machines and free popcorn. One other thing their Hotwings are the bomb with their special sauce. Not to hot but hot enough to have one of their ice cold beers to wash it down and ready for another bite.“

“What a gem! Best dive bar in a cornfield I’ve ever been too. Never heard of the place and randomly wandered in. Bobby and Gary were skeptical, but as always, I prevail with finding the right spot and that right time. Proper 12 a following, darts, small but welcoming. If you see Bobby and Gary shooting darts there and sipping some whiskey, be sure to tell them that I said “I told you so!”“

“We frequented this restaurant when it was in Fairview Heights and finally got a chance to visit the Highland location.
We made it in during happy hour and I got a $5 raspberry margarita. I was prepared for what you might expect from a $5 raspberry margarita, but I was wrong. It was fresh and a perfect balance of tart and sweet without being overly syrupy.
We shared the 16 oz ribeye and from first bite, it was heaven. Flavorful, beautifully marbled, delicious.
I also loved the vegetable of the day, honey carrots, and my boyfriend liked the crunchy fries a lot. The plantains I ordered were a little over cooked, but that didn’t keep me from eating most of them.
Overall, we had a great time and awesome meal… we will be back!“

“Tom & Joe's has the best food!! We love to go to Tim & Joe's Wednesday for Chicken it is the Best Tim & Joe's has the Best Fish on Fridays. The waitress work hard to take orders, fill drinks and get anything anyone needs!!!! The beer is cool and drinks are so good. “If you like local dive bars and pizza this is the place to go. Their pizza is the bomb ? The staff is friendly and most of the regulars are too. Lol. They also have an AMI jukebox, an ATM machine, several TV screens to watch sports games, and video gambling machines. They have a back patio with seating for smokers and they usually have heat out back when they remember to refill the propane tanks. It’s usually just one bartender waiting on everyone and making the pizzas in their pizza oven. Drink a cold one and enjoy the atmosphere while you wait. ??“
