“The best part of traveling for work is stumbling onto local spots like this one. Can beers as low as $2.50, live music, good food, extra points for atmosphere. It has that drinking on the dock at the fishing camp feel.

Got the Cuban. Not the best I've ever had but still better than most.

“If you like local dive bars and pizza this is the place to go. Their pizza is the bomb ? The staff is friendly and most of the regulars are too. Lol. They also have an AMI jukebox, an ATM machine, several TV screens to watch sports games, and video gambling machines. They have a back patio with seating for smokers and they usually have heat out back when they remember to refill the propane tanks. It’s usually just one bartender waiting on everyone and making the pizzas in their pizza oven. Drink a cold one and enjoy the atmosphere while you wait. ??“

“The food and staff at 54th St in Glen Carbon are great but I REALLY HATE how after the remodel they can’t open the patio doors. What is the point of even saying you have a patio when it is all closed up.“

“I was there for a few minutes. I’m not a drinker or someone you usually find at a bar but I love the hometown familiarity. Many people I grew up with were there. The owner is a fantastic, tough as nails, iconic type of woman. We need more business owners and entrepreneurs like her. I’ll write more when I have more to say! “What a gem! Best dive bar in a cornfield I’ve ever been too. Never heard of the place and randomly wandered in. Bobby and Gary were skeptical, but as always, I prevail with finding the right spot and that right time. Proper 12 a following, darts, small but welcoming. If you see Bobby and Gary shooting darts there and sipping some whiskey, be sure to tell them that I said “I told you so!”“

“Absolutely amazing first time experience here. I was looking to go to a new bar and I definitely found my new go-to spot. Tim the owner is a very down to Earth guy, he introduced himself to us and told us a little history of the bar. Beer was ice cold and delicious! And we even made a few bucks on the slots. It's a very friendly atmosphere here, I would definitely recommend giving Hurricanes a shot.“

“I stopped into Patrick's Bar & Grill for a bite to eat while driving through Illinois and it was a great, classic neighborhood spot to unwind. The atmosphere inside was very laid-back and welcoming, with plenty of TVs around the bar making it a perfect place to relax and catch a game. I ordered a burger with a side of fries, and the food came out hot, fresh, and tasted exactly like a comforting, well-made pub meal. The bartender was super friendly and kept my drink filled, though the dining area got a bit noisy and crowded as the evening rush started coming in.“
