“The best part of traveling for work is stumbling onto local spots like this one. Can beers as low as $2.50, live music, good food, extra points for atmosphere. It has that drinking on the dock at the fishing camp feel.

Got the Cuban. Not the best I've ever had but still better than most.

All in all, I'd recommend it and I'll probably be back at least once this week.“

I stopped by the store and the manager saw what I was seeing and worked with me to get my order processed (which was not easily resolved). He was very patient and helped get my order processed. “We live 2 hours north and were in town for a Band Competition, we stopped in to eat. Our server Jordan was fabulous. With it being our first time there the manager sent us some free deviled eggs to sample! Highly recommend the deviled eggs, so tasty! They were a little busy with several parties and took a little longer to get our food but our server was attentive and apologetic for the wait. We were not mad or upset about the wait, totally understand when it’s busy. The manager gave us a free dessert for the wait. The customer service is top notch and they seem to care about the customers. And a plus that the food is delicious!!!! Highly recommend!! We will def be back!“

“The new menu is great, the food always delicious, and the service always excellent.

That said, I can only give 4 stars because they removed the pickle chicken wings. Those wings were genuinely some of the best wings I’ve ever had anywhere. Crispy, tangy, perfectly balanced! What an absolute tragedy to see them disappear from the menu.

Everything else was great, but I’ll be holding out hope for the triumphant return of the pickle wings. Bring them back and that fifth star is yours.

“I ordered the mushroom chili at level 5 for heat. One of the few restaurants that I have found that believes me when I say I want it hot. Heat level was great but even more importantly, the food was so good. We live in Caseyville, so a bit of a drive for pick up, but definitely worth it. The woman who helped me was very nice. I don’t know if they only have pick up, but if they served people outside, the setting is very nice. I think I laid $12 for my meal and it was a very generous serving. Great place.“

The food was incredible, best Pico and homemade chips, my taco platter was divine and Tim had a seafood platter with fish, shrimp, scallops, and octopus in a delicious sauce. I even tried a beef tongue taco! I may never go back to ground beef ! 🫶🏻 Margarita and Chelada both on point! Wow! Let me paint you a picture: You drive up, it looks rundown, and you just know this is going to be the best Chinese food of your life. The fried rice is never a mildly flavored mush, like it can be in so many other places. It's rice and green onions and egg and protein and a lot of flavor. The crab rangoon is some of the best I've ever had. The wontons are fresh, never too chewy, and the cream cheese has a hint of sweetness, but it much more savory than a lot of places. Overly sweet crab rangoon is the worst. Every time I've eaten at Lam's Garden, the food has been consistently incredible. I highly, highly recommend trying it.“
