“The food and staff at 54th St in Glen Carbon are great but I REALLY HATE how after the remodel they can’t open the patio doors. What is the point of even saying you have a patio when it is all closed up.“

“The Cabin is a great location for a good meal and some local entertainment. There are plenty of TVs for watching sports. There are three different seating areas inside, screened deck and outside deck. There are a few games setup for playing bags or bocce ball.“

Not friendly, short answers and would set our drinks down after being told thank you and just walk away. The only time there was even a hint of friendliness is when it came time to pay.“

“If you like local dive bars and pizza this is the place to go. Their pizza is the bomb ? The staff is friendly and most of the regulars are too. Lol. They also have an AMI jukebox, an ATM machine, several TV screens to watch sports games, and video gambling machines. They have a back patio with seating for smokers and they usually have heat out back when they remember to refill the propane tanks. It’s usually just one bartender waiting on everyone and making the pizzas in their pizza oven. Drink a cold one and enjoy the atmosphere while you wait. ??“

“Very welcoming, extremely helpful and pleasant staff, totally a dinner experience I would want to have again. Our server was cheerful and attentive the entire time, making sure we had everything we could possibly need. And considering Colleen seemed to be the only one on duty at the time, that made her even more impressive!
My steak was cooked to a perfect medium, the mashed potatoes were some of the best I've had in some time, and all in all if you can't tell I really enjoyed this.

“We live 2 hours north and were in town for a Band Competition, we stopped in to eat. Our server Jordan was fabulous. With it being our first time there the manager sent us some free deviled eggs to sample! Highly recommend the deviled eggs, so tasty! They were a little busy with several parties and took a little longer to get our food but our server was attentive and apologetic for the wait. We were not mad or upset about the wait, totally understand when it’s busy. The manager gave us a free dessert for the wait. The customer service is top notch and they seem to care about the customers. And a plus that the food is delicious!!!! Highly recommend!! We will def be back!“

“I've eaten here 3 times now (not counting to-go orders!) and I do honestly prefer to get food to go. Not for any reason other than they are busy and it's noisy, which is great for them because it means business is good! We have tried breakfast foods (all very good), pasta, and nachos. I actually really liked their nachos and prefer them to some other establishments in town. I wish they had a larger location because we would eat there more often!“

“I have been here 4 times in the last 2 weeks always amazing food, fast service, and a warm greeting from the amazing staff. My favorites are the meatball sub, sub on a club no mayo or mustard add ranch, and the hook and ladder. This location was very attentive when my wife said the could not have the dairy or glutton. The offered to change their gloves and clean off the equipment that would have come into contact with other allergens. This left an impression with my wife.“

I stopped by the store and the manager saw what I was seeing and worked with me to get my order processed (which was not easily resolved). He was very patient and helped get my order processed. “Let's start with the food, when we went it was early afternoon when most places haven't finished cooking today's food and you get leftovers warmed up in a microwave, NOT HERE! Wife got the wings, I got a 2 meat platter with pulled pork and grilled shrimp. Both of us were impressed, the food was outstanding and the staff was top notch! Very friendly and the place had more than enough room for my wife's power wheelchair to maneuver comfortably. We will be back!“

“Wow. I am a Reuben snob and loved their sandwich! It was so thick that I could not even finish it! The batter on the onion rings was very good. They were a little mushy inside, but still had a very good flavor.
On top of that, the people at the bar seemed to be having a great time. When I stopped in to pick up my order, there was a group singing Billy Joel's Piano Man and having a blast. I look forward to going back again and bringing my husband along so that we can enjoy it together!“

“We hadn’t been at Horseshoe for a number of years, but lately it seems to be one of our go to restaurants. Have only had to take back my food once (a rarity for me). The food, wait staff and jukebox is what brings us back. Was there today with my son who’s disabled. He hates getting out of the house, but loves the jukebox. (He likes singing to his favorite song (The Star Spangled Banner). The staff is attentive and a special shout out to Kim. We were celebrating a special weekend for me. Realizing that the chicken strips means chicken “nuggets” to him, made my day. (It’s the little things.)“

“I live in Clayton Missouri & I had to drive out to this area for my Dog at Cavaliers Furniture. It was way past my lunch time. They had a few area Fast Food joints but instead of grabbing greasy food I decided to check this Applebees out. It has been about 8 years since I’ve stepped foot inside any Applebees. Great customer service from the bar, front desk, table staff to my waitress Courtney B! I decided to try the Crispy Bacon & Ranch Chicken sandwich w/Fries. I asked prior to ordering if I should get the grills or crispy & my waitress said she only had the Crispy & it was good. So, I went with it. It was that good! Great choice. When I’m in the area I most definitely will be back. Until then, I’ll be visiting my areas locations for now on. I’ve obviously been missing out!

Tim the owner is a very down to Earth guy, he introduced himself to us and told us a little history of the bar. Beer was ice cold and delicious! And we even made a few bucks on the slots.
