“Been going to Franchise for a long time! Can't beat the weekly specials! The food has always been good. Atmosphere is always great and I enjoy taking my daughter for dinner especially if there is a cardinals or Blues game on. Service can be hit or miss especially during the busy times which I understand that. If I go for pizza on Mondays I try to beat the 5:30 rush and the same goes for the wing special on Wednesday. It can get packed in a hurry but totally worth it!“
“We had an impromptu family dinner, and we have a large, very close family and growing. We were Sat pretty quickly with it being a Friday night. Our waitress was new. Which I've been there, you eventually have to take that first big table. Had a few minor issues but all in all, it was great!“
“Classic food, classic experience. Sadly Charlie's is closing its doors after over 30 years. We will certainly miss this place. Hopefully someone will buy it and reopen. We did the drive in on the last weekend, waited almost 3 hours for our last Charlie's meal. I've never waited that long for food, and never seen the place so busy. We're going to miss you Charlie's. “One of my favorite fast food restaurants, decent customer service, good food, comfortable seating, my only problem is that the food is a little too expensive and in the Alton one a drive thru staff was smoking but that wasn't in this one so I won't effect this review“
“Really nice spot to grab lunch. Service was amazing. Very cheery and great spirited wait staff. Veggie Sandwich, Mushroom Asparagus soup and of course the key lime pie was very delicious. The ambience was great. Highly recommend coming here for a bite if you are visiting Alton.“
“Went here for lunch. Friendly staff, there was a bit of a wait, but we were seated quickly. Even for being busy, our server was attentive. I can't say I was impressed with the taste of the food. Big portion sizes, though. My chicken sandwich was just sloppy, dry dispite hot sauce, and the breading was thin and not very tasteful. I've seen great breakfast reviews though, so maybe I just got the wrong thing.“
“First note is service. Ariana was incredible from first impression, request her section when you dine in, you will not be disappointed. Second note is food. The Duck wings, Arancini and short rib ravioli are delicious, perfect size to share all three for a party of two. Steak and cheese sandwich was fantastic and the fish special has a sauce that you could drink and be fully satisfied. No complaints, great experience.“
“The pot roast taste just like how my grandma used to make it. Personally, I have never had one thing bad from here. I love that they have Ski soda. Homemade food in 5 minutes. Some may think that it is pricey but it is worth it. A Must Try!!“
“Wonderful food, atmosphere, and Cocktails.Smash burger was excellent and sophisticated with quality beef and pork, carmelized onions, and a soft potatoe bun. Fries are shoestring and a mix of regular and potatoe fries which was a nice surprise.Cocktails also well done and reasonable price.“
“The food was served quite hot. The soups was quite good like homemade not can soup. The service was super. Our server was quite attentive and quite helpful. It is quaint lil dent feeling that has been in service for over 20 years. Do check out this little gem Will b going back.“
