“Go to this bar. Bike parking right up front, every band I've seen so far are all very good, I immediately made friends with everyone there, I became family in 3 visits. Everyone watches out for everyone, no fights, drinks are very reasonable, there's good parking around back. The bar owner Judy commands respect and everyone loves her. If you like slayer, and pink Floyd, and grateful dead, and megadeth, this is the bar. I'd say it's my favorite bar period.“

“One of the better mid size venues to see a show. We've been multiple times over the last 10 years and have never had a bad experience. They have the right amount of security to make everyone feel safe but not so much that it impacts the experience if the show gets a little rowdy. With that being said the demeanor of the crowd as far as the shows I've been to has been great. I've yet to see any fights or groups of people getting blackout drunk. For me the acoustics of the old building have been wonderful and the set up of the stage gives a good view for most of the patrons. Certain shows will fill the building so it's always best to get there early. Also total gold star move that they have multiple water stations with cups on each floor.“

“A cool little dive bar with pinball machines. On a Sunday night they seem to have some league whereby people play them all night so normal patrons can’t use them. It’s a pretty cool place though, and if you can find a night where you can play pinball or just listen to the jukebox, I’d definitely recommend it. Tiny chef is excellent also and they sell food at a window inside the bar.“

We had to wait 15 minutes for a booth but I didn’t mind because this place serves LOOKS. The decor was awesome! Everything from the stellar service, crispy and lacey smash burgers and gorgeous dining room(s) made me realize why this spot is always recommended to me. “This place is the most welcoming, warm, full of good people dive bar I have ever been to in my life. Lots of pinball machines, wonderful bartenders and patrons, Dan-o's pizza if you get hungry. The pinball machines are half the cost. They are anywhere else that I've been to. The owners are amazing. And the people are such a great group of people. This place has been my home bar for 4 years and I don't see that changing. I always feel safe, welcome, and protected when I am in this bar. “We've been here a few times and it's been consistently excellent on all fronts. Maybe the most European vibe of any spot in STL. I prefer branzino (and most fish) grilled whole, but the butterflied version they serve is still outstanding and a better fit for St. Louis tastes (I love STL, but for some reason many folks even struggle with bone-in chicken here). This time I had Vincenzu's Sicilian sausage (complete with Sicilian spelling of his name!), which was excellent. They also had a wonderful Sicilian white wine (nerello mascalese, never saw it in the US). I don't we've ever encountered a misfire. Oh, and the host is very charming and helpful!“

“I knew the owners of this place. Rose and Tony. My grandma took me down there when I was two. She ran a run down apt complex right next to there. I can’t believe it is still there. Rose and Tony would come to my house for holidays. I will be visiting there soon. It was a nice little dive bar the last time I was there. I worked at the west and cafe. I think rose and Tony were still alive at that point. Like 30 years ago. Love them and I loved this little bar.“

“Everything about Robin was above expectations! Traveled in from Chicago, and before I arrived to St Louis, the team was able to help me secure a reservation. Upon arriving to Robin, the dining experience and service was impeccable. The vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant was perfection and truly allowed for a beautiful dining experience. Tables are well spaced, and the noise level that typically generates from other diners was basically non-existant. Drinks were top-notch, and whoever curated the drink menu should also get high praise. We ordered the snacks and bread to go along with the tasting menu. The snack bites started the food journey on the right food. My dining partner and I bother ordered the bread, and we probably could have gotten away with just one order. Every dish that we ordered from the tasting menu qas perfection. Standouts were the venison tartar, trout, chicken and short rib. It wss fantastic to also watch Chef Alec prepare each and every dish thst went out. The entire team was exceptional, and worked harmoniously like a beautiful choreographed ballet.
