“James, our server, made it a fun evening. The food as always, was perfect. We had the caprese with lobster salad to start. Light and tasty. Then we had the 12oz Australian Wagyu, cooked to perfection and just about as good as Japanese Wagyu for a lot less. Served sliced and placed in the middle. We love Wagyu and this is a special dish. We were thrilled they had it tonight. We also had the pasta special, spinach tagliatelle with shrimp and scallops and a cheesy delicious sauce with bacon, almost like a carbonara. “Got there early before our 8 o’clock reservations to have cocktails at the bar prior to seating. Unfortunately, a bunch of squatters eating pizza at the bar had the place completely packed so we had to wait in the foyer before we got seated. not sure why a place of this stature doesn’t have an appropriate cocktail pre-dinner waiting area for reservation guests instead allows perennial squatters to compromise that area. Do they really need the money that bad? Our waitress said the people that are eating at the bar are the same ones week after week after week. I recommend you go somewhere else to have cocktails before dinner. food was really , really good and we will go back but will go somewhere else for a pre-dinner cocktails and show up at reservation time. Otherwise we’ll be standing out in the foyer while squatters are at the bar. This is a common practice among the nicer restaurants in town. I will say the food was really special. we had the shrimp and scallop entree, the pizza, and the morel mushroom special. All were outstanding. Wine by the bottle pricing was appropriate. Very nice dinner for sure.“

“Went with the guys for a burger and beer on a weekday around five. Place was already busy but we got a table immediately. Service was very good. I had the jalapeño burger, coleslaw and smithwick beer. Burger was excellent. Jalapeños were fried and piled high I normally don't notice the bun, but that was also very good. I ordered coleslaw as my attempt at dieting. Was average. My compatriots fries looked very good. Large portions.“

“We visited Arch Nemesis Brewery as part of a Brew Hop STL tour and it was great! The beer offerings were solid and the atmosphere was chill with games available for our group. The owner came out to let us sample and talk with us about an exciting experimental brew they are working on! “It looks a little basic from outside. Inside holds bar seating, and a myriad of tables. It is not fancy.But,the food! The food is delicious. Pretty much all of it. We have gone many times, and everyone always loves their chosen dish. The chef is wonderful and the staff is courteous and does a great job. They have daily specials which also prove delish each time. Our favorite is the Sunday chicken dinner. It’s the only restaurant we have been to where the chicken breast is not salted to point of inedible. Fresh mashed potatoes are wonderful. Highly recommend this neighborhood restaurant.“

From the super cool 100+yr old one lane bridge on the road in, to the money stapled to the ceiling, this place would be equally at home in places like New Orleans or Chicago. “We were very impressed with this restaurant. The food was very good, and they have the best Mexican food menu that we have found since moving to the St. Louis area a year ago. All the standards are on the menu, plus some very nice real Mexican options. The place is not fancy, but it is laid out well, except there is no real waiting area when it is busy. It was very busy both times we went. Service was great with a friendly staff. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. We have had Mexican all over the U.S. and have lived in New Mexico and Texas and have traveled all over Mexico. So we have a broad base for comparison. “Murph has put together a bar that has a great sense of community. Every time I've been here I feel like everyone knows each other but they've also welcomed me into the group. The clientele seems to be pretty diverse and people are just looking to chill out and have a good time.The drinks are reasonably priced and they allow you to bring in food from outside. The fact there is a Dominos next door makes this outside food policy even better.Be sure to look the bar up on Facebook because they often have special events going on. For example tonight they had a pinball tournament going on in the back of the bar and a wrestling trivia night going on in the front.If you're a smoker they have two smoking areas outside, one in the front and one in the back.If you like pinball they have a wonderful collection of machines and they are all .75. These machines are all in excellent condition and you can tell that Murph is a fan of pinball.Parking: Lots of spots. It's a strip mall shared parking lot. “My first visit here was yesterday. The name of the place is awfully pretentious, but it doesn't stop there. The lunch I tried was their Best Ever Pork Cutlet. It was pretty good, but.......best ever? I knocked the atmosphere for this place down a star because the interior lighting was way too dark for my taste, but that's just me. Coming in out of bright sunlight makes it a safety issue in my opinion. I will mention that this was one of the few places I've been that really knows how to do french fries right - crunchy outside with a soft interior. The place was a little run down, but they certainly are confident, and their prices are quite reasonable.“

“We had our mid-winter Model T Ford lunch here. Probably 25-30 folks showed up. They have an area that was able to accommodate us all, and we had great service, even though we were a larger party. The serviced was spot on, drinks came out quickly and the food orders followed close behind. So many different dishes were served and it seemed as though everyone enjoyed the food. They did not seem to mind we sat around for a couple of hours swapping our stories. Another nice thing was they let us have separate checks, which makes for a much easier time for our group. There is more than one location in the area, and we plan on trying a different one next time.“
