She doesn’t know about this.” From that moment on, the staff went above and beyond for us. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. While my wife was admiring the beautiful and cozy atmosphere, the staff gave me the reassuring “we got you” signal, allowing me to sit back, relax, and enjoy the night with her. “We go to Yellowstone Cafe every time we are passing through St. Louis. The Walleye fish dinner is their speciality but all their fish dinners are excellent. In our party our order consisted of Crabcakes, Frog legs, and of course the Walleye.
Three nights a week they offer a kids special platter for 99 cents! What a bonus for parents. Their French fries are very good! The Green Goddess dressing is excellent on their house salad.
The atmosphere is casual, so come as you are.“

“I belong to a group that is Dudes, Dining & Destinations, and we kind of ambushed this place, Mad Dog and Cats Steak today, sunday August 9th 2026. We had about 25/30 of us. The 2 waitresses we had, Mel B and Kara B were awesome. I had the French Onion Soup and Patty Melt and my friend had the side salad with a beef brisket sandwich. They both came out in a timely manner, was very tasteful and plentiful, even took left overs home even. If you find yourself out in st Charles area sometime , stop by and check them out. Cool little place.“

When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. “waited 15 minutes after being seated while wait staff just ignored us. we finally asked the hostess if we could place our order. a waiter came out finally, no apology for our wait. we placed.our order the he never came back. we waited 15 minutes after ordering and never got our beverages. it wasn't super crowded, only the patio was full. it's a shame because they do have good food but I will not be returning. Do not recommend if you ever want to eat. I have never walked out of a restaurant like that in my 42 years. it was terrible“

The only thing that I did not like the last time that I was there was the fact that I could not find a way on the get up and go paying system to change the amount that I had entered for the tip. It is possible that I missed it. I did look repeatedly and did not see a way to go back and change the amount of tip that I entered without totally backing out of the program and going back in. I just figured a dollar was not worth the stress. All I wanted to do was add $1.00 to the tip amount. Oh well.“

“Our waitress was friendly but a bit overworked. The Italian Wedding soup was horrible. No flavor, no Italian sausage and full of barley. The roast beef sandwich was good but had wilted greens on it and we didn’t like that. The ham and cheese sandwich was good. The atmosphere was a bit noisy.“

“We had a 6 top on Friday April 17 at 6pm in Royal Oak. Danielle was our server, she was nice, polite and quick. The 1 appetizer for another couple came with their dinner. 4 of the six people got their meals. About 5 mins later our 2 burgers came. Both prepared wrong (order was 1 burger as is on menu, 1 burger with only pickles). Both were sent back. Waitress came over, realized we didn't have our meal, apologized. 5 mins later a manager came over and said our meal would be out soon. As our friends were just about finished with their meals, our burgers finally came, about 15 mins too late. Burgers were fine. Nothing to brag about, I ate half because I had lost my appetite. When the bill came, nothing was comped or reduced in price. My husband paid the bill and I was pretty PO'ed at him that he actually paid it without asking for some sort of discount. The steak ordered by a friend was super salty, and the chicken on the salad was dry. I know they have kinks to work out, but the place and food isn't really much to brag about.“
