The restaurant provides a variety of vegetarian options and a menu full of flavorful dishes, including the signature La Escalivada with tuna, the pasta special, and comforting ragu polenta. The onion dip, stracciatella, wagyu beef, branzino, and Amish chicken are highly praised for their quality and taste. The cocktails, like the sage gimlet and Mexitalian champagne cocktail, are wonderful, and the house salad with its amazing vinaigrette is a favorite. The service is friendly and efficient, adding to the overall experience. The atmosphere is cozy yet elevated, making Esca a perfect spot for a special celebration or a delightful evening out, especially for those attending the nearby Fox Theatre. Despite reservations being hard to get, Esca is worth the wait and is considered one of the best dining spots in St. Louis.
