“We both love gyro sandwiches and w have tried many around town so we had the Gyro sandwiches. I had the gyro deluxe and my wife had the Doner gyro. The Doner gyro is a gyro on their fresh baked special bread, it has all the other regular gyro ingredients. When they brought out the sandwiches, the first thing that struck us was the VERY generous portions. These are seriously large sandwiches, you will not leave hungry. The meat was perfectly seasoned and sliced thin. The tzatziki and feta dressing was perfect. We were very surprised when the manager put a nice sample of Italian bread from their bakery in Bevo in with the Greek salad that we ordered to go. He told us they bake all their bread themselves at their bakery. Not only was the salad excellent but the bread was simply unbelievable, soft, delicious with a lovely crust. You have gotta try a loaf of this bread.Since we live nearby, we are going to be heading back there in the near future to try some of their other dishes, but, I have to admit, it is going to be hard to not just order another gyro, without a doubt, the best gyro is St. Louis.“
“Cute and clean with phenomenal food! I don't understand why this place isn't packed with people!! You can tell they put so much love into their food! I would eat here every day if I could! Hatch'd is a few buildings away and they always have an hour wait for Saturday brunch. This food is just as good if not better if you don't feel like waiting!“
“This is by far my favorite gyro place in St. Louis. I am huge Greek food fanatic and I seriously can't emphasize enough how awesome this place is. From the service, to the taste of the food, to cleanliness of the facility this place gets a 5 star all across the board. This place is family owned and operated as well! I would encourage everyone to give it a try!“
“I stumbled upon this restaurant, by a nearby Google maps search for lunch and am so glad I chose Gyro Express. The lovely lady that took my order and prepared it could light up any room with her kind eyes and smile. And then one is cashed out with the most gracious cashier. Not to mention, the food (I ordered a classic lamb gyro and side of falafels) was BANGING!! ??“
“I am such a fan of Mediterranean cuisine. I had to try J's Pitaria, and it was bombfully delightful! From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of freshly baked bread hit me. I opted for the falafel salad, and it did not disappoint. Each bite had so much flavor and crunch. What struck me most was the commitment to quality and tradition evident in the ambiance and time they take making every dish. This is not a fast food spot. Every detail is considered in making each dish. The duo behind this spot is Zamir and Josi and they prove to be passionate founders. I highly recommend paying a visit to J's Pitaria.“
“I loved The Benevolent King’s new menu. Chef Elliot is a master! His creations are both delicious and beautiful! The nachos (like nothing you’ve ever had), Godzilla roll and tuna nigiri are just a few of my favorites! The atmosphere is like something you’d experience in NYC! We loved it!“
“The food is absolutely delicious, well-seasoned, and prepared in time. The employees and staff are professional, and very kind, and caring. Also, an especially clean establishment. Highly recommend going and bringing others to this wonderful restaurant.“
“I loved my experience at Golden Chicken in St. Peter's, so when I heard the family was opening a new restaurant at the City Foundry, I had to check it out! I'm so glad I did - the chicken shawarma was so flavorful, I would go as far as to say it might be the best shawarma in STL! The rice was also flavorful and perfectly cooked, and I appreciated the attention to details. The service was so good, the girl at the register was very chatty, we had a great conversation about medical school and her nails <3. If you're interested in trying a new restaurant or looking to try mediterranean or Palestinian food, come to Mazaj Mediterranean!“
“I had never been to this Arab market until recently, and I'm so happy I went!I'm not even sure the name is correct here. It says Milano Grocery, but I thought it was called something different. Maybe someone can help me with that part. The market has a few isles and a cooler full of Arabic grocery foods and drinks.BUT...The true glory of this place is the little deli counter in the very back. The food they make as fresh to order as possible and it is delicious!I ordered the falafel sandwich, babaganoush, and the side of the 7pc falafel pieces.Omg. The falafel sandwich was THE BEST I've ever had. Also, everyone working there was so nice! I went with an Arabic friend and she introduced me something like this - "this is my American friend, she likes Arabic food". The owner immediately welcomed me and was very kind and helpful.Oh, and I also got a tub of fresh made hummus. It was absolutely delicious!10/10 will return. Would recommend!“
“Royal kebab persian restaurant is an amazing restaurant, I went with sister and we ordered kobedeh kabab and chicken kabab, it was awesome and so delicious, if you like Afghani food please try this restaurant for sure , amazing food and management ?“
“I was not sure what Mediterranean was going to be like. Food was like a combination of Greek and Indian. We had the hummus, Musakhan, Saffron Curry Chicken, and Lamb Kebab. They were all excellent. If you get there before 3pm you get a bowl of yummy lentil soup.“
“Tried Medina for the first time a few months ago and now we go here at least once a week. Their falafel is so good that my mouth waters when I think about it. When I'm eating falafel from somewhere else, I'm thinking of Medina's falafel. I tried the Medina bowl last time and it was so good I almost cried. My husband has ARFID, so trying and liking new foods is a big deal and the grilled cheese with chicken is one of his safe foods, which is great for me because I have an excuse to go here even more.“
“The best mediterranean food you can find in St. Louis. Especially the shawerma, so good and so delicious. Professional and so friendly staff makes you feel like you are eating at home. The grocery part of the store is full of so many variety of eastern and international food items that I can't even remember it all. 100% recommend this place.“
“This was my first time eating here and let me tell you , the food was amazing and the service so kind and friendly. We went for lunch and the lunch prices are so reasonable. You get a starter , entree and beverage all for $13.95. Can’t beat that! I am already planning on going back this weekend. Highly recommended!“
“Just started working 2nd shift downtown and wanted to grab a quick salad. Had the falafel salad…LOVED the falafel, flavor was amazing and it was cooked perfectly. Husband had the Veggie bowl which was also delicious. Everything was fresh, guys at the counter were very nice, and the restaurant was spotless. Will definitely be back!“
“This entrance is deceiving, as it is in a home, and you actually enter through Olio. It is truly a unique space unlike any other though. Transported to the inside of someone's living room, it has a cozy feel that doesn't seem overly pretentious or boisterous. It feels like a quiet evening at home, amongst friendly acquaintances. The food was delicious and plated beautifully. However, the lighting made snapping a decent photo nearly impossible it was a lesson in accepting limitations and enjoying things in the present. Loved the Thai smoked scallops, fancy butter and divine breads, the crepe lasagna dish, and the desserts. The price seems a bit high but still reasonable for the quality of food and service delivered. Definitely a worthy experience.“
“Originally from STL but haven't lived there for two decades. When I am there, approximately once a year, Olio is the number one place I need to go. Everything they turn out is amazingly well thought out with creativity and passion second to none. I consistently dream about their egg salad... the decor and vibe is perfect, service is always top notch... there is absolutely nothing I would change about this place.“
“Wonderful experience at Sheesh! Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. (Though the tables are a little short for tall individuals) Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. We didn't need a reservation for 6:45 on a Thursday night. The lentil soup was a perfect starter. The combo appetizer was delicious with the red pepper spread being my personal favorite. The falafel was just right!! Would definitely recommend the lamb shank. It comes with tasty rice and was so tender. Fell off the bone! Will definitely be coming back!“
“Mix Grill and Wings is a fantastic American and Mediterranean restaurant. They offer a delicious variety of grilled meats and flavorful wings, combining the best of both cuisines. It's a must-visit spot for a tasty and diverse dining experience!“
“The atmosphere is cozy. The wait staff is super nice and friendly. This was our first time eating Mediterranean food. The waiter, who's family owns the restaurant, was more then happy to tell us about the different dishes. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! And he even gave us some baklava for it being our first time there. We live an hour away from the restaurant, but we'll definitely make the trip back!“
“Just moved back to Bevo and are excited to be a 7 minute-walk from Majeed! We checked it out the other night for dinner. Beautiful building. Better food! I could eat falafel every day and this is some of the best I’ve ever had! Chicken Shawarma was great as well. So flavorful. Cannot wait to get the stuffed grape leaves, another favorite. Thanks for the wonderful food and service! I’ll be walking in quite a bit ?“
“Terrific place for American Greek food. They have all the standards and they are delicious! The spanakopita crust is especially light and filling generous. Yum!You won’t find the truly authentic Blue Zone dishes of lemony garlicky fish and seafood or grain and veggie dishes. Wish they did. But they do have a wonderful spinach rice and comforting baked Mediterranean veggie dish, as well as salad and olives, and Arabic felafel, hummus, and baba ganoush. The restaurant atmosphere is nice, though without a Greek vibe. They do have a patio, but it overlooks busy McCausland Ave.Great service, good food, drinks, and flaming cheese. Nice place!“
“Dinner at Aya Sofia was wonderful! The setting is very cozy with tapestries and dim lighting. We started with the Hydari, which was incredibly refreshing. Our main was their mixed grill, which had a plethora of meats and veggies with some rice pilaf, our favorite was the kofte! The skewered meats were a touch overcooked, but the flavors were on point! We had house made baklava and Turkish coffee for dessert, perfect cap to a wonderful meal! The service was incredible, can't wait to come back!“
“We had a wonderful server Anessa. She made our visit so special and was so kind to our 3 year old (meltdown after no naps on our trip- he turned around and enjoyed his meal). We enjoyed the olive and cheese plate app. Both me and my father in law had the kebab plates which were fresh and yum. Kids enjoyed their meals as well. Definitely visit for lovely staff and yummy food!“
“The atmosphere is very welcoming. The "juice bar" is phenomenal and looked forward to when going there. They truly care about the quality of the food they prepare for their customers. The portions are generous. They have the best FALAFEL in the city, if not the state.Vegetarian options: Menu is clearly labeled whats vegetarian and/or Vegan. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable if needed and ALWAYS greets you with a smile and appreciation.Dietary restrictions: Very low sodium in thier food.“
“The restaurant is very clean and bright inside. Staff is very friendly and professional. Menu has lots to choose from and prices are good. Did not have to wait long for food after ordering. Food tasted very good. Will visit here again.“
