“I will be honest: I came for the experience. The one, the original DeMun Kaldi's!!
The pastry I had was great. The espresso was perfectly presented, with chocolate-covered coffee beans and a Gibraltar of sparkling water on a nice wooden tray. The espresso itself, ok, it was not dialed-in. Watery, not well-extracted, a mostly flat flavor profile. But, I am not sure one goes to Kaldi's for their espresso, rather than for their great vibe!“

When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. “Wow! As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a case full of beautiful rustic bagels of many varieties.

The counter person is friendly, efficient, and helpful. The owner stopped by for a chat, too (this is an opportunity so many business owners miss out on).

I ordered a corn meal bagel with veggie cream cheese. The ultimate in country style goodness.

“I can’t believe I just discovered Cafe Miami! What a fantastic little spot. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and full of personality. I loved all the Miami-themed decor, colorful artwork, and quirky touches throughout the café. It felt like stepping into a neighborhood café in South Florida.

I started with a cortadito and a guava pastry, and both were outstanding. (Pictured!) The cortadito was rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet, and the guava pastry was flaky, buttery, and absolutely delicious.

For food, I had the Cuban sandwich, which was soooo good! Combination of ham, pickles, mustard, and cheese was spot on. My partner also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches with egg, cheese, and sausage, and it was equally impressive. Fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.

The owners and staff were super awesome. Chatted with them a bit as I used to fly back and forth to Miami in summers, and was hooked on Cuban coffees and guava pastries! I’m so glad I found this place!

If you love Cuban coffee, authentic sandwiches, fresh pastries, and supporting local businesses, Cafe Miami is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back for another cortadito and guava pastry!

“Vegan / plant-based.
You won't have trouble ordering vegan drinks. There is one vegan pastry -carrot cake cupcake without icing. Food is not vegan by default, but two options can easily be made vegan: vegetarian burrito, by removing cheese; and avocado toast, by removing cheese and hot sauce vinaigrette sauce on the side, which contains butter.

Overall, vegan carrot cupcake is a little sweet for my taste but still very good. I would recommend adding impossible sausage to the avocado toast.“

• It’s dependable for study-sessions or meet-ups, but if you need “blazing fast service while simultaneously conquering life,” you might leave slightly under-conquered. 

All told: I’d go back. Comfortable spot, good coffee, minimal drama. Just maybe don’t expect the coffee gods to deliver your order via lightning bolt.“
