You’ll be greeted by what can only be described as controlled chaos—the kind of busy where everyone seems to know exactly what they’re doing, which is more than can be said for most of us before coffee. From the moment you’re seated and place your order, you’re treated like a regular, even if it’s your first time there. No strangers here, apparently.

The breakfast is top-notch. The pancakes are so light and delicate they practically qualify as communion wafers, only tastier and far less solemn. They melt in your mouth like they’ve been waiting all morning for this moment.

So whatever your plans are downtown—catching a baseball game or heading to divorce court—this is the place to eat

“I had the BEST breakfast sandwich burger at Wakey Wakey last week while I was staying at the attached hotel for a women's conference. It was huge & I had to cut it in half & save the rest. Our server Sam was the one who made the suggestion to try it & he was right in his suggestion! He even told me how to reheat it so that it would come out even better than the first time it was served. Our drinks were never less than half full & he was very attentive. You can really tell he takes pride in his work! I also want to note that the breakfast potatoes are AMAZING & I will definitely be going back to get them again! They are something that I have never had at any other breakfast place. My mouth is watering now just typing this. Thank you again for the great suggestions Sam & keep up the great work! I will be back soon! 5 stars!“

“This Waffle House on Telegraph Road was fantastic! The service was incredibly fast—our food came out so quickly that it felt like it arrived almost before we finished ordering. Everything was hot, fresh, and exactly what we were craving.

Our server was attentive from start to finish, making sure our drinks stayed filled and that we had all the condiments we needed. It was clear the team was focused on providing great customer service.

I also noticed several managers outside actively beautifying the property, trimming trees and taking pride in maintaining the restaurant's appearance. That level of care really stood out.

If you're looking for hot food served fast with friendly, attentive service, this Waffle House is definitely the place to be. We'll be back!“

“(Cross-posted to yelp) I literally chose this place based on the pics of their scrambled eggs and the fact that out of the whole menu, my favorite food is the only item to carry Nadine's name--the corned beef hash. If an owner is gonna put their own name on a dish, you know it's gonna be good! I had a 3 hour drive home and all I could think about was how eating that hash was A Moment. Order it. ORDER IT. ^.^ The diner was super chill, with a generally calm and pleasant vibe. Nadine herself took care of us, and had our coffee and water to us in seconds. The wait for our order was nothing to speak of at all, and they don't keep "checking in" with you--LOVE that. All in all......I told my husband we're making it a tradition to stop there whenever we're in the city. 100/100.“

“Ice cream was delicious! Variety of handscooped flavors. Perfect for any craving.
The food sounded amazing! But we arrived 25 mintues before closing. On a holiday weekend. Poor girl alone as a late crowd walked in. Felt terrible for her. Can tell she was overwhelmed as each new guest appeared, 8:40, 8:45, 8:56, still new groups walking in. And if you do ANYTHING but a scoop or 2 into a bowl or cone, game over. Shame on whomever scheduled 1 closer on memorial day weekend.
If you arrive late, be patient. But I can say. It's worth the wait. I had the latte themed one. With chocolate chunks. Perfect way to end a beautiful sunday. And my niece got a cute keepsake in the form of a baseball helmet for only $1.50 more.“

“Good, traditional breakfast entrees and a few healthier options. I always enjoy the garden omelette with a side of fruit. Sometimes I get it as a garden burrito instead. Both have generous proportions. The spinach and egg white bagel is tasty. Even during peak breakfast hours we never wait long for a table. The dining room is large (formerly a Chinese Buffet) with extra tables added. The staff is attentive and have a pot of coffee in hand. I appreciate them refilling my teapot with hot water. They are known for conventional breakfast entrees in a shorter amount of time. Perfect for families or larger groups at the tables all with timely service.“

“I’m from Florida/Georgia and out of all the Waffle Houses I have ever visited this one had the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I’m actually emotional typing this cause I’m still in shock…shoutout to my waitress Summer and the other waitress on duty who was still very attentive, helpful, and sweet despite not being assigned to my table.
