There is also a gift shop right across the parking lot. I got a concrete mixer of chocolate, vanilla, and raspberry, and I added hazelnuts. It was so good! Don't miss out on this historical gem!“

“Sugarwitch is a queer-owned business with a few rotating vegan options for their ice cream sandwiches. They serve drinks (coffee, tea, & specials) and also make custom ice cream cakes. Sugarwitch is frequently selling their sandwiches at Tower Grove’s Farmer’s Market as well as hosting/sponsoring other community events. “My two favorites are the bramble berry crisp and the wild berry lavender. The darkest chocolate is really good and pairs well with the wild berry lavender. We recently went and they had a few galaxy themed ice cream flavors. My son got super moon and really liked it. I wasn’t a huge fan be he’s tore it up. I got nebula berry, which was tasty 😋. However, purple star born captured my heart. Sounds weird to say but it was absolutely delicious and I’m thinking about going back to see if they sell this in a pint. Which says something because I can’t stand grape flavored foods -other than grapes- and I loved it so much. Reminds me of like a sprinkling white grape juice. I also couldn’t leave out of there without grabbing a pint of the bramble berry crisp. They have options for dairy free so this is definitely a place I would recommend and have recommended to friends,family and coworkers. You just don’t find ice cream flavors like these anywhere else..“

Bridget, the employee who served at our occasion, was delightful, patient and excellent with small children. “The frozen custard was excellent. So far, it is the best concrete I have had: rich, creamy and full of flavour.

The only downsides were the location, which felt a little rough around the edges, and the service. The staff were not particularly warm/welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was not especially inviting.“

Their turtle sundae is one of the best around, with rich, creamy custard topped with warm caramel, hot fudge, and perfectly toasted pecans. It’s the kind of treat that makes you forget the cold as soon as you take a bite. The staff is always so friendly, and every visit feels welcoming and quick no matter how chilly it is outside. If you haven’t been to Silky’s in a while, or you’re debating going because it’s winter, go anyway. It’s worth it every time.“

Can tell she was overwhelmed as each new guest appeared, 8:40, 8:45, 8:56, still new groups walking in. And if you do ANYTHING but a scoop or 2 into a bowl or cone, game over. Shame on whomever scheduled 1 closer on memorial day weekend.
If you arrive late, be patient. But I can say. It's worth the wait. I had the latte themed one. With chocolate chunks. Perfect way to end a beautiful sunday. And my niece got a cute keepsake in the form of a baseball helmet for only $1.50 more.“

When we moved into our house in South city he seemed to recall that there used to be a velvet freeze in the parking lot adjacent to our house. Luckily we still have one in the St louis area. “These are legitimately the best snocones ANYWHERE. I dont know how they do it, but they are so full of flavor without making your cup nothing but syrup. I've been coming here for 15(?) years and the transition from Angie, the Snocone Lady to Kerry, the Snocone Dude was seamless. We are SO lucky to have such an amazing small business in our community. My favorite is Hurricane, which is blue Raspberry and lime. My kids are strictly rainbow fans. All of the flavors are amazing though!“
