My father inlaw grew up in north st louis. He always tells stories about how there was a velvet freeze on every corner. When we moved into our house in South city he seemed to recall that there used to be a velvet freeze in the parking lot adjacent to our house. Luckily we still have one in the St louis area. I think he will be thrilled that we were able to find his favorite flavor.
Old-school corner store vibe in the best way. This STL staple may be a little worn and tattered, but that just adds to its charm—it really captures the feel of a classic neighborhood convenience store. It could be a tad cleaner, but nothing major. They carry a great selection of nostalgic treats, from candy cigarettes and freeze pops to Now and Laters and Chico Sticks.
