The coffee is top notch. One of the few (the only?) places that sells fresh roasted beans from international roasteries. The selection is always rotating and there's always something interesting every time I visit.But really, it's the pastries. This is one of the best patisseries in all of the St. Louis metro area. If you were deathly allergic to coffee it would still be worth a visit to get a bite of a fresh morning bun or the chocolate almond croissants.
Really, really enjoyed this one. You know it's the right kind of coffee shop when they don't have sizes of cappuccino. No small, medium, or large; just cappuccino, five ounces of goodness, not too foamy. The vibe is more eurostyle than hipster industrial. The baristas are the real thing. They know and care about their product, or else they do an awfully good job at pretending. Wish I'd had more cash to give a better tip. I'm going back, for sure.
