“Best place to get gyros in the StL“

“Amazing! Probably the best (or a podium) gyro I've ever had! Perfect for a lunch shift. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants Greek food because they have more than just gyros. I also ordered a Spanakopita which was not bad.“

“Doner kebab #1 best bread and presentation. Meat and tsaziki are second to none. Always enjoy a trip here. Closes at 4, but the lunch /early dinner here is great. Get here around 11am and you'll enjoy some space, but usually the line moves real well, great atmosphere right across street from Pontiac Square Park. A lunchtime staple you'll be happy to rediscover“

“I’ve ignored this place over the decades, assuming it was a typical dive bar. A friend assured me the food was great and I should try it. Understatement! Believe it or not I’m a hypercritical person but I could find no fault at Michael’s. During both of my visits, everything everyone ordered was cooked and seasoned beautifully. So far I can highly recommend the Greek salad (standout among the large number of Greek salads I’ve tried), the rack of lamb and the galaktoboureko - a house-made dessert consisting mainly of a fluffy custard and phyllo dough. Even the side vegetables and rice were wonderful. The beer and wine selection was good as well and I wrote down my wine to look into buying a bottle. The many servers were extremely busy and professional and our server Amy did a helluva job. Large rack of lamb with sides, entree-sized Greek salad, two beers, wine and dessert for only $80 -which for the quality of our dinner was quite a bargain. Generic name belies quality cooking and serving! Pass it on!“

“Amazing service atmosphere and food! Great values! 4 of us dined for 78 total! Beef tortellini, caprese, Italian salad, toasted ravioli, kids butter pasta and tiramisu were beyond 5 stars!!!“

“A few good options. The Italian beef is good. A little disappointed in the giardiniera. No zest or spicy taste to it. The Binnie's fried potatoes are good, but could be better without the cheap Parmigiano. The meatball sub is good, but nothing special. No fountain soda is also a turn off.“

“APOLLONIA is a fun place with great food! The staff is always attentive and friendly. The gyros and gyro salads are generous. The rest of the menu is full of fun stuff to try too. Every time I go there the it's been a clean and well kept dining space as well. Really hard to beat it!
Parking: Pull around back to park.“

“We usually shop here but this last time had an awkward experience on the take out order. Upon opening the 2 boxes of french fries, found them all semi burnt brown colored not tasty at all. Obviously someone didn’t remove the fries out of hot oil on time and since it was an online order they just didn’t bother replacing with the good one. Too late to get back to store to return, just threw them all out!!
Also the lamb burger was not a real burger patty, it was pieces of ground lamb that kept falling out of the burger bun although it was tasty.“
