“Riccardo’s on Broadway has as much atmosphere, friendly service, and great food as the old Ricardo’s. They’ve done a great job redoing this old building. Haven’t been there for dinner but do intend to try it. Their lunch menu including lunch specials was great!“
“Amazing…so good! Perfectly cooked and everything is customizable in case you have some picky eaters. They jam a ton of toppings inside and loved the whole roasted garlic cloves.Vegetarian options: Vegan pepperoni was an easy substitute or addition.Dietary restrictions: Any of the ingredients can be removed or substituted.Kid-friendliness: Fountain lemonade and quick service.“
“Passing through STL on our way east from AZ…Best Kale Caesar I’ve ever had…how can we get the dressing recipe so I can make this at home ?…our server was also beyond attentive which doesn’t seem to happen anywhere anymore (young guy with dark hair and glasses)….thank you“
“This is a GREAT neighborhood restaurant! Great ambiance in the front room! Very good wine list; we thoroughly enjoyed the Manzone Gramolere Barolo. The food was excellent, and the portions quite large on the Chicken Marsala. One of the specials was Divers Scallops on a bed of risotto, and the scallops were perfectly done. Service after the entree could have been more attentive.“
“I want to start by saying I LOVE GIOIA'S.... However they did something today that is totally wrong. I had placed a four sandwich order with work colleagues. My order was a roast beef sami with AU JUS... with out the AU JUS the sandwich is dry and not very desirable. It was delivered by door dash and the AU JUS was forgotten. I asked for a refund and was told that they are not able to do this as the AU JUS is complimentary. WTF is that !!! You guys are better than this and I would expect for you to make right on a mess up that YOU made. I think it will be a while before I order with my colleagues from Gioias. Its a shame because we were going there at least once a week.“
“My husband and I had visited family at SLU hospital and were in the mood for Italian food. Found this restaurant on Google and am so happy we did! Wonderful food, great service and a great atmosphere. This will certainly be our to go to restaurant from now on!“
“Had their pizza for the first time, and it was worth the hype. The Chicken Delight pizza is so good! It is probably my favorite thin crust pizza I’ve had. I also loved the wing sauce! All of the workers and owner, John, were incredible. They got our pizza out quickly (even though it was busy). We will definitely be back!“
“I would put myself in debt to eat this food, It's so incredible the head chef is brilliant, and the staff from the front of the house to the back make the entire experience a joy. the wild boar and polenta is writing home about worthy, and the tirimisu makes me emotional... the pizza is literally the only pizza in st louis worth eating and I'm from Chicago so I feel like my opinion is extra valid lol. there are a ton of "fancy restaurants" in St. Louis but table cloths and wine selection don't mean crap when the menu of a reasonably priced pizza joint makes your food look like McDonald's by comparison.“
“The staff at Failoni's were amazing we came in with a large group of 25 and not only were they able to accommodate us but they also provided expert service. On a busy day at the restaraunt they got all of our orders out together and very quickly... the restaurant had a great Midwest vibe with friendly people and would highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing Italian food.Parking: Plenty of parking along the street on both sides“
“The food was very good - flavorful and just the right amount of filling to bread ratio. Service was so friendly and they had patience with us as first time customers. Sitting outside was not an issue except wish there were umbrellas - sun was reflecting off the foil inside box so made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. But would definitely go back - great job and highly recommended!“
“This place is fantastic, all the food is delicious and great quility, even the bread they serve was really good, service is exceptional, pricing is more than reasonable. Was in town and looking for a great local joint, glad I picked this spot, this place is a must visit. If your reading this review, stop thinking about it and go!Parking: Parking isn't bad, you will find something, remember it's street parking though.“
“I could go on and on about how great the food is, but what really sets them apart is the service. Every person that I've run into appears to genuinely like working there. Just makes for an overall enjoyable experience and obvious that the owners treat them well. And the patrons benefit from that. So happy to have them in the neighborhood.“
“Great food!! I ordered the lunch buster 1/2 sandwich 1/2 house salad. For the sandwich I got #22. My fiancé ordered the #30. Both sandwiches were bursting with flavor! The house salad was perfect. The Italian dressing was not to overwhelming or underwhelming. The roast beef on the #22 was great. The sausage on the #30 was so good we bought some to take home with us. I got giardiniera peppers on the side and they were very fresh. You can taste the care put into your meal. I would recommend to anybody. I will definitely revisit when in the area!UPDATE!!!!!!!!!I made homemade red sauce and penne with the Saliccia sausage we bought!! OMG!! Entire house rated 10/10!“
“This was a night out with my brothers and friends. We enjoyed the atmosphere. The drinks were okay. The bloody mary was simple, not much zing to the taste. It was kind of bland. Our server was polite and friendly. We were treated to vocals from retired football tight end Jackie Smith. He sounded great that night. A nice place for dinner or just cocktails after donner.“
“First time to Bartolino's for a surprise Birthday get together. So impressed with the attention to details, prompt service and great food. While the outside of the restaurant is nothing to speak of, the inside is warm and cozy with a hint of elegance. Loved the vibe.“
“People have asked me to recommend a good pizza place. I will recommend THE BEST pizza place I know... Double D's Pizzeria.Double D's is a small, family owned and operated, establishment located along Tesson Ferry Rd. between Butler Hill Rd. and Wells Rd.I highly recommend their St. Louis style pizza, calzones, chicken wraps, and cheese fries - among many other things on their menu. Their pizzas are thin crust with a blend of cheeses. If you like bacon on your pie, you'll LOVE this... Bacon crumbles AND strips. I honestly can't put it in words how good it is.Double D's is a family friendly restaurant with eat-in and carry out options (no delivery). The ambiance inside is laden with sports jerseys and memorabilia from local high school sports teams. Multiple TV's in the restaurant showcase sports channels and other entertainment. There is also a small game room with a couple of arcade type games to keep the littles entertained. You honestly can't go wrong here. If you're looking for a local, non-commercial family friendly pizza place, then look no further than Double D's!!“
“What a pleasant experience. I had my pasta primavera in a cream sauce vs the vegetable broth it comes in. It was delicious. For appetizers we had the toasted raviolis and the bruschetta and those were also really good. The house salad is also good for it being a side salad.“
“Picked up 3 pizzas for dinner here tonight (pepperoni, bacon, sausage). They even went out of their way to make sure there was no egg in the crust, even calling the distributor to make sure, because my daughter has a severe egg allergy. The staff was friendly, the pizza was awesome and the price was cheap! We’ll definitely be back!“
“If you're looking for authentic, this is the place. The service as you enter is welcoming and the ambiance gives you local hometown feels. The calamari was very flavorful and the food was so good. I got the Zitti con Vodka. So flavorful and enjoyed every bite. I had to try the tiramisu and was glad i I did. Oh n so good!“
“I have visited Trattoria Toscana a few times and decided to take my son and daughter in law for a celebration dinner. It was exquisite! The food was delicious as always. Frankie was an outstanding server and worthy of accolades! Trattoria Toscana will be my choice of restaurants to celebrate or just go out for delicious food for no special reason. So happy!“
“I just tried this place and I was overall satisfied, but there are some pros and cons. I got the roast beef sandwich, pasta salad and potatoes with a side of their cheese sauce. The sandwich...very good. They forgot my aujus sauce, but I didn't care. It was absolutely delish! The pasta salad...great flavor. Ate that up first thing. Now the potatoes...meh. They looked wonderful, but they smelled just awful from the cheese they coat it with. They were just meh. I didn't eat a majority of it.The cheese sauce...also meh. Not much flavor. Didn't add anything to anything. I didn't eat that hardly either. The service....TOP NOTCH. The guy cooking was very friendly and made my order so quickly, plus, he kept that kitchen CLEAN AND TIDY, which is very hard to come by in the STL.In all...it is a small, simple joint, but I enjoyed this place and will be back to try many more sandwiches!“
“This place was great. I am sad i didn't grab pictures. We seldom find someplace that everyone liked their food. And it was a bit pricy, but i dont think it wasn't a good value quality for the dollar. For example, the side of fruit is $4. It had blackberries, blue berries, straw berries, grapes, pineapple, and cantaloupe, and was a significant size. I doubt you could get that much fruit from a grocery store for $4. They were not shy with their bacon on the breakfast sandwich. The siracha was home-madede and fantastic. The coffee is debuque, a local premium brand, very good and again a bargain compared to say starbucks. The breakfast butters were unique, and we were split between our group on which was best (obviously the bacon maple was best). The biscuits were exactly what you wanted when you ordered a biscuit from some place, fresh, homemade, and filling. They dont have a kids meal, but a $4 side of pancakes was too much for my growing 5 year old to finish. While it is too expensive for a regular breakfast spot, it is one of the top brunches in st.louis, no doubt.Kid-friendliness: Not specifically kid friendly, but kids will enjoy their food.“
“Tried this restaurant yesterday. Had a reservation for Valentine’s Day. The food was really good and the waiter was nice. The restaurant wasn’t really crowded when we got there and we still had to wait. The table we got was a high top by the bar, would have preferred a booth or other table in the dining area but all in all it was a good experience. I’d go back for another steak, it was delicious.Dietary restrictions: Peanut free facilityParking: Lots of spots“
“Just Wow. What a great place. I’ve more the gladly drove 20 minutes just for their sandwiches. They treat everyone with a courteous smile and it’s well known. If you want a sandwich or salad, take an extra few minutes and treat yourself right!“
“We were traveling and after a fun day at City Museum, my kiddos wanted some noodles and pizza. Reading the reviews, this looked like just the place for us and let me tell you it did not disappoint. This small family owned restaurant is a hidden gem. The cook came out and talked to us several times, even talking with the kiddos. My son was sad when he found out they were out of the cheesecake ravioli's (they come 3 to an order). But we tried the the chocolate ones and they were fantastic. As we were walking out to our car, the cook came out with the last ravioli cheesecake drizzled with caramel!! My son was over the moon and enjoyed every bite! Thank you for going above and beyond!! Will definitely come here again when we are in town and recommend it to anyone wanting some good itialian food!!“
“I love pizza !!! This Chicago style deep-dish pizza is at the very top of my short list of pizzas. Here in St.Louis, MO. The cheese pulled from your face to the plate, then still had to cut it. I ordered the Meat deep-dish, with light sause,Great jobI got it for pick up, but friendly staff, and the time was right on point. I will be back for more PIZZA ? . A must stop in and get some. Bring an appetiteWheelchair accessibility: They have ADA entrance and seating“
“Best place in town to get the authentic St. Louis style pizza! They use real ingredients (none of the fake provel replacement), not to mention, they have one of the best cauliflower crusts I've ever had! If you need to stock up on your STL favs, look no further than Imo's Meat and Sausage "On the Hill."“
“We were in town for a long weekend celebrating our anniversary and chose to go here for our anniversary dinner. Service was outstanding, the staff was so friendly, a great atmosphere, and delicious pasta. I ordered a cosmopolitan that was great, and we got a dessert that was wonderful also.“
“We had a great experience here. We came for lunch on Saturday. The restaurant wasn't too busy. Our server was super nice and friendly. I had a steak with pasta with white sauce. My wife got a lemon chicken with pasta with red sauce. Both dish were very good.“
“Special-ordered filet with shrimp, grilled to perfection and topped with a whole-roasted garlic cream sauce. Best carbonara I've ever had. Delicious fried escarole to start, delectable cassata cake to finish. Brought two kids and the servers treated them like royalty. This story is dime-a-dozen among Frank Papa's patrons. Brentwood's best-kept secret. Order the Carpini! Or the "eviction notice" pasta. Those chocolate martinis, and that chocolate ravioli. I could go on and on about this legendary restaurant. I could write a book about how working there changed my life. And tonight, I tell you now as a diner, the train is on the tracks and full speed ahead with Frank's more-than-capable nephew Rob at the controls. The food is still incredible, the service warm and welcoming, the atmosphere...home.If you have never been to Frank Papa's, I implore you: go. If you haven't been in a while: return. You won't find a more inviting fine-dining establishment with better food in St. Louis.“
“This place is the neighborhood eatery that’s too cool for all of us but still graces us with its presence. The agnolotti is one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had, the English Rose is a refreshing spin on a gin and tonic, and the staff are wonderful. This is our new date night place every time we visit STL.“
“Last night was our second time to Lorenzo’s Trattoria and again it was amazing. Our waiter, Jose, was energetic and friendly, always with a true smile on his face, wait staff kept our drinks full and used dishes cleared, but the best part was the food. Absolutely delicious! We will be back many times!“
“This was my first time eating here and let me tell you , the food was amazing and the service so kind and friendly. We went for lunch and the lunch prices are so reasonable. You get a starter , entree and beverage all for $13.95. Can’t beat that! I am already planning on going back this weekend. Highly recommended!“
“We stayed at the Cheshire hotel and were fortunate to have Basso on the premises! We met a friend here the first night of our stay. The restaurant is in the basement. The atmosphere was inviting with gas lit wall lights, a center bar with booths and high tops. Autumn was a wonderful server. She was so pleasant and informative. We really enjoyed having her as our server. Happy hour is from 4 to 6. We tried the fried meatballs, which were great. The lemon ravioli and the shrimp pasta dish were both delicious. Prices were reasonable. When you dine, the food taste and quality are top priority, but when the food is phenomenal and the service and atmosphere are just as good, it makes the experience memorable. We ended up returning on our second night! Julie was our server and we really enjoyed her, too. She was helpful and interested in our satisfaction! We tried the Brussel sprouts, an heirloom salad with delicious bread. Our entrees were the butcher steak and the burger. The steak was wood fired and super tender! The burger was delicious. The fries and shishito peppers were very good. We highly recommend this hidden gem and thank Autumn and Julie for making our stay in St. Louis so memorable! Oh, try the Secret Door specialty drink, a next level Old Fashioned“
“Staff was great. Very friendly Very helpful. Food was phenomenal!!! Tomatoe sauce was fabulous. Everyone in our group of 8 was very happy with everything they received.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at front entrance. Can be tight in places but the staff will assist as needed“
“I’ve eaten here several times. Ironically, I haven’t ordered pizza or pasta, but rather sandwiches such as their Reuben and Breaded Tenderloin sandwich. The tenderloin sandwich is one of their specialities, and is huge. Probably takes up at least half of the plate. Sandwiches are served with one side, and I chose French fries which were awesome.“
“P'sghetti's Pasta and Sandwich, a cherished family-owned gem in South County, wins hearts with exceptional service. For two decades, it has been a go-to spot with delightful family specials and irresistible pizza bread. Experience the joy it brings!“
“While wandering around St. Louis, I found myself around the hill and thought Italian thats what I wanted for dinner. And could I remember the name of the place a friend told me about? "Onesto!" I shouted in my car, and I was off. Onesto is a small Italian place nestled in the Princeton Heights neighborhood; it is completely surrounded by residential houses. While I walked up, I was greeted by a little Sinatra and a smiling hostess. She led me right to a small table by a window, perfect for gazing out into the street. A small plate of garlic knots magically appeared and were just about right, lots of garlic, butter, and salt. Might had scarfed down the whole plate before drinks, and like magic, more appeared. I had the house sangria, which I can't remember what it was, but it was very tasty. Then the waitress took my order. I had the cannelloni, which was stuffed with beef and pork in a tomato cream sauce and topped with mozzarella. It was delicious. It came with an overflowing Caesar salad and more garlic knots. After that wonderful meal, I was too full for dessert and headed home. Overall, great little Italian place, food hit the spot, and the service was great.“
“Lovely ladies taking care of business.Very friendly.Just passing through, and grabbed about 30 bucks worth of wonderful cookies, and a loaf of bread that reminded me of Nauny.Highly recommend, if you're going to visit the Hill.♥️????“
“We spent our anniversary on a day date around St. Louis and headed to Mama’s for lunch. The fresh bread was awesome, and my husband and I shared the vegetable beef soup, which was so, so good on this frigid day. Our entrees were spaghetti with meatballs and beef ravioli with meat sauce. The flavor of the meatballs was fantastic and the sauce was perfect. We WILL be back. Definitely recommend this local small business. ❤️“
“Had a really great dinner there tonight. I have some allergy issues and so sometimes dining out can be a bit of an issue. But the hostess, I believe her name was Lisa, was so helpful and full of suggestions. She showed me many options that would work well for me. I ended up with a penne primavera and added chicken to it. It was fantastic. If I could give the whole experience more than five stars I would. We will definitely be back.“
“Went around 1930ish on a Tuesday. Place was pretty quiet, I was seated immediately. Service was very prompt, had warm bread and water on the table before I even knew what was happening. Server was great, no complaints at all. Food was good, I had the 10 oz filet mignon and a side of "potato of the day" which was essentially very fancy potatoes au gratin. Freshly ground black pepper was available and applied liberally. The steak was great, perfectly cooked to my liking(medium rare). Yes, it can be a pricey place. If you want cheap steaks, go to walmart. Yes, I would recommend this place to a friend.“
“I just recently moved to Saint Louis and I hate to admit it to my new fellow Missourians, but I am not a fan of the toasted raviolis I have tried. That all changed when I came to Farratos. The toasted raviolis were perfectly filled, had the perfectly toasted crunch and paired so well with their delicious sauce. The service has always been great here, but Nicole was top notch! She was very personable, knowledgeable and made sure we had what we needed and more. Thank you Nicole!“
“I had a great time at Edera. I was with a decent size group of friend celebrating a birthday. Our server, Alan, was terrific and we sat in one of the outdoor chalets. Now I think that chalets go down but the courtyard looks like something out of Italy. Food was fantastic too! Great job Sam!“
“Visited Cunetto House of Pasta with my fiancée recently. I have eaten good Italian food all of my life in various places, and this is my new favorite spot. I’ll be back soon. Fantastic experience from the bar, to the service, to the meal. Wish it wouldn’t have taken me this long to try it, but ready to make up for lost time!“
“This is a nice restaurant. The service was good, but nothing spectacular. I had a Chicken Spedini Sandwich with the vegetable as my side. It was brussels sprouts which were VERY tasty. They advertise themselves as traditional Italian and I totally agree with that. Nothing really stood out on the menu to me. The cocktail I had was good also. Everything about the restaurant was good, with nothing to take it to the great level. Wouldn't be adverse to returning.“
“Service is amazing the workers are so nice, the atmosphere was incredible to say the least. Service on 11:30 at night on a Monday and I was blown away. Came here for work live 5 hours away and can confidently say I’ll be coming back to stl just for the cheesecake & lasagna. I wouldn’t say this lightly because i’m a huge cheesecake fan, but best I have ever had. The lasagna tasted so fresh like they freshly made the pasta dough this morning. Great restaurant 10/10 ?“
“Writing this review just to shout out one employee in particular. This place is great anyway Reasonable pricing, great ambiance, good food, solid service. But tonight Hunter nailed it, quick on his feet, checked in just the right amount and super helpful and friendly.“
“Pasta House catered our wedding, and they did an amazing job!!! They made the whole day a breeze! The food was delicious and we had plenty of leftovers!!! My husband and I wanted ice cream for dessert. They placed the order with Ted Drewes, picked it up, and brought it to the venue. They even let my baker bring the cake to them the day of, and they handled it from there. The bar was awesome!! The drinks were delicious and ll the staff from serves to bartenders were so friendly! Our wedding was at the World's Fair Pavillion which has some stricted guidelines/rules which we were worried about. Pasta House took care of all of it and didn't let us worry once about it. They were a dream to work with and I would recommend them to everyone for a delicious and stress free wedding or event!!!“
“Food was YUM, service was friendly, and the space and location is so cute. In the heart of the hill, a must-go-to place for a hot or cold Italian sandwich that tastes authentic and made with love. The Grace was my fav! With Italian sausage, pepperoni, cheese and red sauce.“
