“Great date spot patio - wonderful outdoor atmosphere. Super attentive waitstaff (great attention, recommendations, and personality). Cool cocktails and some really good beers available. The food was outstanding! The menu was basically laid out in order of smallest to biggest plates; the snacks were very much snack-sized, the small plates were still plenty enough to share, and the entrees were generous. Very creative and fun cuisine. The white anchovies that we requested on the side of our (outstandingly fresh and summery) tomato salad were the absolute best anchovies I have ever had - if you like anchovies and they have "white anchovies" on the menu, order! (Our waitress was nice enough to check in the restaurant pantry to find out the brand for me, which was very appreciated.) Though we were stuffed, we had dessert and the chocolate cake we ordered was decadent and a wonderful end to a fun and romantic meal. Totally recommend Little Fox, especially for a spontaneous date night out, whether you want to graze and sip cocktails or get a full dinner.“

“Visited yesterday and omg the food was delicious. I had the brisket which the cook said is new to the menu. It wasn’t dry at all. It was tender and i like they put the sauce on the side instead of drench the meat with it. My sister had the salmon croquettes and they were good too. I’ll be back but remember to make reservations for brunch or u might not be able to try it due to the crowd. The staff were nice and the place was clean. Oh and the flight of mimosa had us still talking after eating.“

“We were excited to try the Tavern tonight for the first time. We were a bit underwhelmed. I only got 3 scallops for a $45 entree (even Disney will give you 4 for the same price). Additionally, the fries and baked cookie had a burnt aftertaste from the oven. For $150, we thought it was significantly overpriced for what we got.“

I happened across this place looking for somewhere to grab a drink before a late dinner reservation, and figured we would give it a try. We were only there about 30 minutes and sat at the bar. The bartender was so nice and chit chatted with us while he made drinks. All the drinks looked fantastic and I will definitely be back for cocktails. I just had a glass of wine and my husband a local beer so nothing too crazy. But they did have natural wines which are usually hard to find any my favorite, so I was happy! Great experience and seems like a cool spot.“

But of course the food is the driving force here. The beef tartare was an awesome and unique appetizer that you'll only see at a high end place. The broccoli salad was excellent and presented beautifully. The duck was by far the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked on the inside with an amazing crunch and sauce on the outside. The chicken and pasta were also both great.I keep a list of restaurants in St Louis to try, from burger places to high end establishments. “It's been years since I've been here and so happy that I visited because now this place will become a staple in my rotation. Friday evening visit around 6p and happy that seating was available without a wait. Open seating, opted for a space near the kitchen. Now, normally, seating near the kitchen wouldn't be appealing, but the overall vibe here makes up for the open kitchen view. Starving, I wasted no time ordering. Glass of Malbec and for the meal, Chicken Pesto sandwich, sauces on the side and Side order of Tots. The sandwich was awesome! Chicken was juicy, Bacon was crisp and the toasted buttered bread rounded it out. I enjoyed the mustard aioli with this better than the pesto that it comes up, so I recommend getting the sauces on the side. The tots are housemade and feel like mashed potatoes turned into tots. They are tasty also with the mustard aioli. Thoroughly enjoyed this visit and will be here more often.“

The cocktail menu was great and they had some amazing wine options. We grabbed a few small plates to share and everything was great. We got the mushroom pate which was a little bland and we could have done without, but everything else we tried had great flavor profiles. The cheese obviously stole the show - we wanted to try all of them. They're very sharing with their cheese portions which was appreciated since there were four of us.
