Reviews for Sasha's on Shaw

My friends and I decided to grab some wine after a stressful day at school. This was my first time and my friends have been multiple times so I had high expectations based on their experiences & reviews on here. Wine was amazing. Food was eh. Took 1 hour for a pita pizza and truffle popcorn. Server, Kelly, was at our table maybe 3 times in 1.5 hrs. We had to go ask for our check after sitting for 20 minutes because her friends/regulars showed up at the bar to chat. She had full review
I don't drink very often, thanks to my blessed genes, but I always love coming here regardless of occasion! Establishment - you face the bar when you walk in, with tables on either side of the door. The entire space is actually quite large, with many 2- and 4-top tables in the front of the lounge, and even more seating in the back. It's usually a bit loud, especially when you go in the evening. This is mostly due to music that's playing, either live or through the radio. full review

This restaurant is much more about the ambience. Too expensive for what is offered. The food was fine but for 20$ a tasting plate I expect there to be a bit more. The cheapest bottle of wine was $30 and just not great. Spent almost 100$ for 2 people to be hungry and go eat elsewhere.
