We were thrilled they had it tonight. We also had the pasta special, spinach tagliatelle with shrimp and scallops and a cheesy delicious sauce with bacon, almost like a carbonara. “Great food!! I ordered the lunch buster 1/2 sandwich 1/2 house salad. For the sandwich I got #22. My fiancé ordered the #30. Both sandwiches were bursting with flavor! The house salad was perfect. The Italian dressing was not to overwhelming or underwhelming. The roast beef on the #22 was great. The sausage on the #30 was so good we bought some to take home with us. I got giardiniera peppers on the side and they were very fresh. You can taste the care put into your meal. I would recommend to anybody. “Have been going here for years but last night's service and food was beyond any experience we have ever had. I commented on their Facebook post about a dessert and how awesome it would be to try the next night when we were there. They set one aside and put it with our reservation! That is about the highest level of service I have ever experienced at any restaurant. Jamie is an amazing host and I will make sure to request his section every time we make a reservation. “We stayed at the Cheshire hotel and were fortunate to have Basso on the premises! We met a friend here the first night of our stay. The restaurant is in the basement. The atmosphere was inviting with gas lit wall lights, a center bar with booths and high tops. Autumn was a wonderful server. She was so pleasant and informative. We really enjoyed having her as our server. Happy hour is from 4 to 6. We tried the fried meatballs, which were great. The lemon ravioli and the shrimp pasta dish were both delicious. Prices were reasonable. When you dine, the food taste and quality are top priority, but when the food is phenomenal and the service and atmosphere are just as good, it makes the experience memorable. We ended up returning on our second night! Julie was our server and we really enjoyed her, too. She was helpful and interested in our satisfaction! We tried the Brussel sprouts, an heirloom salad with delicious bread. Our entrees were the butcher steak and the burger. The steak was wood fired and super tender! The burger was delicious.
