Food is amazing, atmosphere is very nice, service staff are wonderful! Recommend the asparagus & prosciutto, pistachio goat cheese, bruschetta, their antipasti plates are all good! Also the house mixed greens is fresh and delicious, and they have amazing pastas and entrees. Our favorites are the Ragu alla Bolognese, fettuccine tres amici, tortellini with cream, the salmon is the best ever, and their steaks are fantastic. And you have to have an espresso martini. Bar Italia Ristorante is a vibrant restaurant in the central west end with a wonderful menu of enticing items. The food is outstanding, perfect in presentation and flavor with each bite. The service is excellent, amicable, and casual. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. The atmosphere makes good use of the space, where even in the center, guests still feel private. The lovely patio is perfect for leisurely catching up with family. They have been here 40 years and are busy on a Friday night, which is a great sign of a great meal. The espresso martinis are amazing, and the restaurant offers an impromptu wine tasting journey. Bar Italia also offers brunch at The Egg, with an outstanding meal and incredibly accommodating staff. Drinks, food, and service have always been great. Do not feel you must go to the hill; go to Bar Italia Ristorante instead.
