“Ive been to the St. Louis location and just visited the Chesterfield location for the first time on Saturday. At 6pm they were pretty much sold out of meats, but I was able to get some ribs and corned beef. I think everything is brought over daily from the St. Louis location, so I imagine it can be hard to estimate business daily. The corned beef was awesome and a nice changeup from the brisket (which was phenomenal at the St. Louis location). The ribs were also stellar but I was pretty full after the corned beef plate. Their plates are 1/2lb of meat which i think is more than the typical place around serves. I am from MA and have tried a lot of popular BBQ places in the area but Stellar Hog has been my favorite by far. I think they could use a spicy traditional BBQ on top of the sweet. The heat level from the bbq pit beans would be great as a sauce. But the spicy alabama sauce is great on the brisket and corned beef. Keep doing what you are doing and dont take shortcuts! nice smoke ring on the meats and the food is hot, not served straight out of the warmer it seems. Two thumbs up!“

Walking through the door and immediately you're hit by the smell and flavor of smoked meat. This isn't some Denny's-style chain, it's your neighbor that's waking you up with the smoke through your window, inviting you next door for a BBQ.

I ordered the rib tips because I'm here late and didn't want to spoil dinner. My side of choice is the collard greens. The surprise present was corn bread. Everything was amazing. I ordered the tips dry because I didn't want them hidden by a sauce. They were so flavorful and tender. The collard greens were just as tasty. The cornbread was like having dessert. I wouldn't change anything.

As a side note, I stole a piece of catfish from my friend and heck, now I'm not sure who won, but I can tell you it's the fish I'm going to try next time because the corn meal was perfect.“

“You order at the desk and then find an empty seat once you get your food. We did the 3 meat plate with pulled pork, ribs and brisket. It comes with two sides of your choice and a drink. I got the spaghetti and birria chili as my sides. Our favorite meat was by far the brisket. It was extremely tender and juicy. There are a ton of unique BBQ sauces to try on the tables with my favorite being the sweet sauce. All of this is overly filling so beware. We could’ve easily gotten the two meat plate and been full by the end. Three was too much for us but we just wanted to try more of the meats. Great restaurant with delicious meat and a huge variety of sides. Street parking only. Recommend to those looking for a very filling BBQ lunch in downtown St. Louis.“

“Today was my 1st time ordering BBQ from any restaurant in Saint Louis. I'd been looking around for about a year. When I saw Reds, I knew that was the place. Right when I pulled in to the parking lot I could see the smoke coming out of the big barrel style BBQer and smell the was delicious! “Ate at Cafe Smoke Shack recently. The food was fantastic. Service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive. Giant portions, well prepared & we were all extremely pleased with our meal. "Stan, Matt & Marlowe were charming and cordial to all. The owner (Matt/Chef) is one of the nicest and most hospitable folks you'll ever want to meet. Truly cares about his customers. Stay clear of Bill... Why you ask? He was a smug, rude & a disingenuous individual. Brought in six (6) people & spent over $300.00 with no other customers dining that day. He acted like he did us a favor. All of the other employees were wonderful.“

“First time there the food was really good I got a double cheeseburger, my mom and her friend got a whole Jack plate too and it was really good they didn't really add no salt to the whole Jack plate though so, my son got a Philly cheese steak and he only ate half of it so wow and he can eat“

“Great BBQ. I had the brisket with KC Burnt Ends, smoked beans, slaw, and it comes with a cheddar bacon popover. I liked the smoky flavor of the brisket but it wasn’t overpowering. Nice selection of bbq sauces. And Phil was a great server!“
