“We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. “This place was just a slice of heaven. We were tired from traveling all day and were met at the door by a lovely young lady. I believe she said her name was McKenzie. We sat down and ordered and just then our hotel called us because our new little puppy was barking so much that we had to leave immediately to go back and see to her. “Sawmill BBQ is located very close to our house, yet we’ve never tried it. Well, we just did the other evening, and LOVED it. Everything was bursting with flavor and the meat was beyond tender. Even the Cheeseburger was above average! All of the sides were devoured in minutes (green beans, fries, creamy coleslaw, garlic bread). Safe to say, we’d totally pick up from Sawmill again - or dine in (they have a large dining room, with live music sometimes I’ve heard!) :-)“

My husband looked at me like I was crazy when I read off dates but the slight sweetness against all of that savory is what made it!! We also tried the Fatty B, Meat me in St Louie, Magic Carpet Ride, and the Gyro. They were all amazing but the Gonzo and the Gyro were my favorites. The Magic Carpet Ride is also a must try if you're into mushrooms.“
