“This business has been around for five years at a few locations throughout the metro east. They recently moved to their East St. Louis spot and been gaining compliments and new customers. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a smile and a sight of happy patrons. There are two tables for dining but it’s mostly carry outs. I looked over the menu then decided on The Voodoo Noodles for $13. It included some mixed veggies, noodles, bbq chicken or pork pieces but you can get both for $16. It was definitely different but in a good way. I plan to return and try some other items. I heard the rib tips and bbq sauce were outstanding. I shall see soon.“

“I always seem to get the Beef Brisket which is the best that I've ever had. The sides are delicious. The service was great and they seem to really care about our experience. We are always referring them to friends and others looking for Great BBQ.“

“We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. The food has been famous for years, if you are down for a challenge, go there and order the big mama burger , it is the most massive thing that I have ever encountered, and it's always good! “Great BBQ just a short walk from Busch Stadium. I had the brisket with the green bean salad, and both were excellent. The brisket was tender, smoky, and full of flavor without needing much sauce, though I couldn't resist trying all four. The green bean salad was fresh and a nice balance to the meal. The bacon cheddar popover was also a great addition. Friendly service, quick food, and a relaxed atmosphere.“

“Pretty dang good. I've had their congee and their beef chow fun. BCF gets 5 stars, congee gets three; there was a considerable amount of hard, old-tasting, whole rice grains in it, and it was really lacking in flavor.

But the beef chow fun was great! Good presentation and reasonable prices. I would order their Beef Chow Fun again.“

“We've been here a handful of times. The new ownership made improvements to the interior and added more food options. The drinks are well made. The food is average and a bit overpriced. Staff is friendly, although a bit slow. The atmosphere fits a saloon/bar except for the smell of nail polish--from the nextdoor salon--that occasionally wafts through the vents.“

“I was there for a few minutes. I’m not a drinker or someone you usually find at a bar but I love the hometown familiarity. Many people I grew up with were there. The owner is a fantastic, tough as nails, iconic type of woman. We need more business owners and entrepreneurs like her. I’ll write more when I have more to say!
