“It was really good food and we were happy with it. Came for downtown restaurant week and tried a special. Only gripe was that we asked for one order of dumplings so we were confused when they came out with 3 for some reason. The server was nice but the order wasn’t read back to us so we weren’t aware of any misunderstanding. It tacked on an extra unexpected $20+ to the bill, which put a little damper on things, but I guess we had the chance to say something and just let it go. It’s a little frustrating but overall things were fine.“

“First time here and the service, food, cleanliness, pricing, location were all excellent! Celebrated a grandson's b'day and it was perfect! I love that they give you an option for spiciness (0-5) since I'm a 0 and opted for Orange Chicken. I'll be more adventuresome next time. LOL Great restaurant all the way around!“

“Arrived shortly after 1:00 and was able to be seated when I walked in. Only 1 other table of diners and another couple came in later. Not much of a lunch crowd at all. I think they do a larger carry out than in-house.
It appears to be the owner and wife who do everything. The guy is not real friendly and certainly doesn't have a smile but I think that's not intentional. Just "taking care of business". The woman smiles ?.
I ordered the Musaman Curry with chicken, potatoes, peanuts and onion. It was quite good and I would definitely order it again. However, it was very soupy. Seemed to have a good amount of chicken, maybe 2 or 3 chunks of potato and maybe 2 or 3 pieces of onion and about 5 peanuts. It was still soupy even after adding the rice.
I'm normally full halfway thru and always take home Thai leftovers but this time I finished the full lunch w no leftovers. I guess portions are just smaller these days.
The restaurant itself is dreary with dark paneling on all the walls. It did seem clean, just dark. Has nice big tables but they have a sticky top. Not from being dirty, I guess it's just sticky from the varnish.
Was finished with my lunch for about 8 minutes and waiting for the bill, which did not come but finally just got up and went to the counter and waited there to pay.
I would go back because the curry is great and give service another chance.“
“It was our first time trying TukTukThai and they did not disappoint! We had the food truck in our subdivision and we tried the Drunken Chicken. Portion was huge, food was awesome, and service was exceptional! Thank you!“

“Great Pad Thai and sushi. Clean dining room. Attentive staff. On one occasion,, I was there near closing and they started cleaning the restrooms and the chemicals reached our table through the air as they were spraying the tables down (terrible practice I frequently notice in restaurants - you should spray the rag directly instead while patrons are present for this exact reason). Now I just make sure I'm not there on the later side of dinner service.
Parking: Practically empty lot as most (all?) of the other businesses in the same strip mall have closed.“

“From the view on Google maps, it looks like a sit down place. I guess you could say that, it's 1 table. The rest of the inside is filled with boxes. They need to refresh their paint inside, looks like a lot of old smoke in it (light brown/yellow).
As far as the service & food, it was great! Walked in, placed an order & about 10 min I had my order. During that time they had a lot of call in orders & some online. I kept hearing average wait time 30-45 min due to the size of the orders.
Prices seem a little high, but then again everything has gone up lately & I don't often eat out.“

“I ordered the yellow curry Togo to give this place a try. I am new to the area and looking for a new Thai place and I believe I struck gold. The curry was so creamy and savory that I ate every bite and even drank the cream sauce at the end. The vegetables were perfectly cooked! I’m not an onion fan and there were a lot in there but they were cooked so well I didn’t even mind and that’s a big deal for me. They weren’t stingy with the chicken or potatoes and I was completely full with no leftovers! I will definitely be back to try some more adventurous dishes! Thank you for a lovely meal!“

“The Thai food scene in STL has been in dire straits recently, with Chao Baan falling off hard and King & I departing for the county. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw Thai Kitchen was opening nearby. My meal last night was excellent. The yellow curry was rich with just the right spice level, and the rangoons were delicious. This will be my go-to Thai takeout spot from now on.Only issue is that their pickup procedure is a little unclear. It's supposed to be a no-contact pick-up, where you get your food from a locker in the lobby (unlocked via a check-in kiosk). But I guess Thai Kitchen isn't using that system, so I had to wait around a bit to ask someone for my food.“

“This China King is under New Management and when I tell you I went at the beginning of November 2024, ordered Chicken Egg foo yu and Fried gizzards .... DELICIOUS!!! The gravy on the Chicken egg foo yu is so good and their Fried gizzards are the best in St Louis, they practically melt in your mouth and the onions help make the flavor. And the food was fresh, hot and soooo good. This husband and wife team know how to cook, they are respectful and kind, and have not only my respect but will have my business from now on. Thank you!!! Glad to rediscover you here in Crestwood.“

“This is the best Thai restaurant I've been to so far out of the 43 I've tried! The Tom yum soup here is the best anywhere, especially the Tom Yum Pla hotpot. They also have really good curry, with their yellow curry being among the best.“

“It’s truly heartbreaking to see all of the people leaving negative reviews for this restaurant. The owners are kind hearted and hardworking people who have been contributing to St. Louis’ diverse restaurant scene for years- it’s important for hole in the wall family owned restaurants like Yan Wu to exist and continue adding to the social and cultural fabric of the city, as more and more go out of business or are replaced by characterless chains. Please take a second to try and examine why you are so quick to judge a minority owned business and label the owners as “rude” due to communication barriers or assume they are talking about you when they speak in their native language rather than impulsively attempt to put another local restaurant out of business.“
