About TeeRak Thai Restaurant

TeeRak Thai Restaurant offers authentic Thai food with generous portions, friendly service, and great value. The food is good, really good, especially considering the price. Reviewers call it truly wonderful flavorful food and one of the very few real, authentic Thai restaurants in St. Louis. The food tastes exactly like Thailand. The khao soi is a favorite and probably one of the best dishes in St. Louis, with tender chicken, rich coconut curry sauce, nice thick noodles, crunchy noodles, and just the right amount of heat. The coconut curry was possibly the best ever. The Drunk noodle, khao soi, and moo ping/BBQ pork on skewers are must order. The papaya salad is so fresh and flavorful. The Pad Kra Pao is on the menu, and the Crying Tiger Salad was just okay. The food is amazing, portions are large, and the service is great. The restaurant is small and very popular, so make reservations ahead of time. It is approachable, affordable, and friendly, and the menu has really filled out nicely. The place feels a bit stark and is way too loud inside, so acoustic panels or something to absorb the noise would help. When dishes are ordered to share, the plates are the size of teacup saucers, which is hilarious and also very annoying. The bar service is currently in shambles, and they were out of the first 3 dishes ordered, but this will improve. It is worth the drive.

The atmosphere is really fun. Although the indoor seating is high-ceilinged, which makes it kind of loud when there are more than 3 tables seated. The decor is great, a combination of Thailand meets St. Louis. Our food was wonderful. For starters we got the chicken satay and potstickers, both great flavor and the chicken wasn't dry. I had the larb gai, which was delightful with just a little bit of satisfying burn. My partner had the crying tiger beef with the 2 chili heat level...read full review
A must-visit for the service alone!

Atmosphere: Quaint, visually stimulating, and very clean. The decor and music create a peaceful, trendy vibe.

Parking: Plenty of free street parking, but limited accessibility/handicap options.

Service: 10/10. The staff turns tables fast but never makes you feel rushed. My waitress was phenomenal, she took the time to explain the menu and went above and beyond when my dish was a bit too spicy for me.
