Been coming here for well over 20 years. The food is ALWAYS delicious. And the lady is at the counter is such a sweetheart. It's definitely me and my wife's "go too" Chinese restaurant!!

I’m gonna say! Food was great but last few times just ok. Then I realized discount for paying in cash… was fake it’s not a discount. If you pay with a card they charge you for their credit fee. The sign in the restaurant is not clear it’s put on the side window when you pay. Pay attention when you go in… I don’t think you should get charged to use a credit card. That is the owner’s expense as a business owner. People give them business. They are making money off you. Now you pay for patronizing them. Bad business… then they want a tip. Do not tip. The owners only employees. They charge you for credit cards. I don’t care if it’s $1.00 or 2.00 it’s principal. You own a business you pay your credit card fees. Do not stick it to your customers. They are most likely a 70/85 percent markup on what they charge. Think about going out to eat. Get your bill pay after tax then a credit card fee then tip. And you are giving the business money to succeed and they want you to pay their credit card fees for you to give them business and keep them in business: further more they do not actually tell people this info. In 3 years of ordering food from them they never once told me I was getting charged a credit transaction fee. Which is illegal. They have a discount sign but it does not say you get charged the credit card fee. Which now in this day in age is high. They want tips but want you to pay credit transaction fees. Bad business. It’s just the husband and wife that work there. There quality has gone down hilll. Very upsetting. Sorry don’t mean to rant. But for those who have ordered from here. Not realizing they paid to eat there bc of using credit card is illegal because they do not legally post it .

Classic American Chinese cuisine. I called in an order and it was quickly ready within 15 minutes, even with a lunch crowd starting. The lady at the counter was pleasant & inviting.I ordered the "full order" of Empress Chicken, Hot Braised Chicken & crab rangoon. The chicken was perfectly crisp & sauces well balanced. Vegetables were fresh, bright and flavorful. The crab rangoon are made with wonton style wrapper, which makes them have a nice chewy bite. The filling has a mild authentic crab flavor that balances well with the cream cheese. It's classic take out, well done. I'll definitely order again.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly atmosphere. At the time of my order, there was a couple with child sitting at a booth.

I’ve been eating here for about 10 years now and I think it’s the best Chinese food in St.Louis. Get the number 18 you won’t regret it?

The absolute best Chinese food in St. Louis. hands down! the flavor of the food and texture is always consistent. I've never had a weird piece of chicken here. such a great place!

Tried this place for the first time today. Ordered the Lo Mein w/ pork. It was just terrible. Noodles totally overcooked. Soft and mushy. No "fry" to it. Was extremely soupy. And the pork was just plain. And lacked flavor. Never going back again.

This is the worst food I have ever eate. I have had Chinese food in 7 different states. This place is by far the worse especially for the price. Very plain, dry, no flavor, my fianc food wasn't even spicy like they said general tso's chicken. I tried to call and get money back.

So I ordered a chicken fried rice, a pork fried rice, and some crab rangoon.. first off the chicken fried rice tasted like freezer burnt chicken mixed with it tasted extremely overcooked to hide the fact that the chicken was definitely no good anymore… the crab ragoon was extremely bitter and so overcooked there was nothing really inside of it, but honestly the WORST part of the entire experience is that I asked for extra soy sauce and was given 3 in total, so I went back in to ask for more… and was literally given 2 more… I use 5 on just mine… I guess jokes on me for giving this place a try… will be going to China Wok from now on… they aren’t greedy with their soy sauce ?

I recently visited A Taste of China again, this time ordering their delicious Mongolian Beef. I was amazed by the flavor and quality of the dish, and the lady at the front was very kind. There isn't a single good Chinese carryout in the Lemay area, so I'm more than willing to travel the extra two miles to Afton to enjoy A Taste of China's amazing food. Their Crab Rangoon isn't greasy and tastes great. The Hot & Sour and Egg Drop Soup are better than any other carryout place I've tried. If you're in the mood for Pork Saint Paul, A Taste of China does them really well.
