I ordered the Koobedeh Kabob with Kabuli Pilau and got the kebob with brown rice. It took them 10 mins to come back and tell me they didn’t have lemons when I asked about it. When I asked about the missing carrots and raisins, the server didn’t know about it. She claimed to be new. Then the owner came over and offered to bring it out as I was telling them that I’m already more than halfway thru my meal. No apologies, no compensation, bad training for your staff, equals “not coming back”.

Best Afghan food I've had in St Louis. The Mantu is excellent I would recommend it. The Bolani was also very good with the chutney. Everyone was very happy with their Kebabs. Between the 4 of us we had the Chicken, Lamb and beef kebabs. We will be coming back next time we are in town!

Literally so delicious. We got the lamb biryani, lamb tika masala, and kahari chicken. All three were good but the lamb biryani was the best and it was so good! Portions were amazing. Definitely worth your time.

Afghan Kabob House offers a comforting and authentic Afghan dining experience. We ordered lamb with rice, along with traditional desserts like firni and ice cream, as shown in the photos. The lamb was tender and flavorful, and the rice was well-seasoned and satisfying. The desserts were creamy, lightly sweet, and a perfect way to finish the meal. The atmosphere is simple and relaxed, focusing more on the food than décor, which fits the place well.
One downside is that the presentation is straightforward and not very polished, and service can feel a bit slow when the restaurant is busy. However, the quality and authenticity of the food make up for that.
Tip: If it’s your first visit, try their lamb dishes and traditional desserts, and come hungry—the portions are generous.

Kebab was undercooked and had a bad smell. Couldn’t eat it. Very concerning for food safety.

AMAZING food! Everything was perfect and very clean. We ordered the Tikka Masala and the Ash soup. The soup is vegetarian with noodles, and it tasted great. The lamb chops were also an excellent choice, and the portion sizes were generous.
