This food is absolutely the best. And our server, Sarah? Absolutely phenomenal service, she is the BEST.

Best Indian food I've ever had!

Love this place ! Hopefully it stays open past June 30. We've visited several times. I always get the chili paneer and the Kheer, both excellent!

I love everything about this new restaurant. The food is definitely in it's own leage. A very fresh perspective on Indian cuisine. Lamb meat tasted very fresh and nicely flavored. The margarita has Jal jeera in it which amazing if you know what it is. The chai comes with parle-G biscuits lol. Sooo nostalgic for people grew up in India. Definitely would go again. And to owners: please keep this place going. I think you have a bright future.

What an amazing restaurant off Cherokee. You can really taste all the layers of flavors in every dish and drink. The lamb curry burger had a healthy amount of cumin and even the rice of the chicken tikka had a distinct fragrance. Don't skip the wings and give the margarita a try. Some of the best Indian inspired foods I've had in a while.

This place is amazing. We loved the ambience and service. All of the food was great, but the wings really stood out. Some of the best I've ever had. Delicious rum punch bowls. Highly recommend

Baba Xavi is an Indian inspired pop up in the old Spare No Rib space in Gravois Park. Only open for until June 30 2019, Baba Xavi takes Indian flavors and fuses them into burgers, salads, stews, fries, etc. the flavors are great. Worth a visit. Recommend!

Thought I would try something outside my comfort zone. Cute little place located on Jefferson in south city. The service was very gracious and accommodating. The food was very good. Different than what I would normally go out for but it's always nice to have something new and different. The cucumber toast was great as was the entree. I can't comment on how it relates to other Indian food but this was very good.

Absolutely fabulous. Somebody in the kitchen understands Indian food! Sad that this is a popup and may not be permanent. WE HOPE IT REMAINS!

Excellent pop up that's only here till the end of June! Indian food with a twist. Loved everything about it. Flavors, presentation, entire ambience. Pricing is incredibly reasonable. Will try to get there as much as I can with in the next few weeks !

My only night in St Louis, randomly got myself here. Delicious and unique meal. Complex flavors, awesome waitress, and awesome chef who made extra rice cakes so I could try the full idli sambar experience even though I arrived at closing and she had just run out. Thank you ladies for taking care of me. I had a blast.

I ordered way too much food because I couldn't decide what I wanted, and i'm glad I did. It was awesome. Try the puffed rice appetizer. Also love the fact that they are open on Mondays, and that it is on my way home from work. Palak paneer is my favorite comfort food, and it was absolutely delicious.

Came here with no expectations with South Asian family members and we were all blown away with the food at Baba Xavi. It's an interesting take on Indian food that tastes a bit lighter and healthier and is presented beautifully by the chef and owner. We ordered the idli/sambar, chicken tikka masala, and Palak paneer and will definitely be back! While Baba Xavi is only a pop-up restaurant, we hope they will become a permanent fixture in the STL food scene.
