Left a voicemail twice this week; zero response; hidden up charges at a fast food restaurant is stealing
The biggest issue I had was the service I received when I came to pick up my order. Carlos was working the front counter when I came to pick up my order. Among other items, my order included a large drink. Historically, every time Ive order a drink, they present me with an empty drink cup next to my bag for me to fill up. Keep in mind, I order from this locations 2-3 times a week so i’m familiar with how the pick up process works when I place a mobile order. But this time they decided to put my drink in my bag and then sealed the bag like it’s a DoorDash order or something. I was unaware my drink was in my bag so I asked the front counter employee “Carlos” if I could have a drink cup, he said no everything is in the bag. I said okay, Is it just an empty cup or is there sweet tea in there? Carlos replied with everything is in the bag. I said, okay I understand that, but the bag is sealed I’m trying to find out if the cup is filled or not. Carlos replies again with everything is in the bag. I respond with I understand that, but you’re not answering my question. Carlos got frustrated with me because there were people waiting in line behind me and decided to belittle me in a rude tone by asking if I speak English? Then continue to say we speak the same language right, what don’t you understand. Completely humiliated and frustrated by the situation, I walked away and decided to open my bag to see if my drink was in there. I did have my drink in my bag, but when I got back to work I realize I was never given a straw so I guess everything wasn’t in my bag… I work across the street, and have never had an experience like this. Traditionally, every experience I’ve had at this locations has been very friendly and positive but after today I will never step foot in that location again. Carlos shouldn’t be allowed to work any customer facing position when clearly he’s not trying to help any customers instead he is trying to start conflict with them. Any other customer service representative in his position would’ve just told me I had a filled drink in my bag and that would be the end of it. I would have left a happy customer. Ballwin Location.
I have been trying to contact someone at this company about an issue I had at their Columbia IL location. None of my calls or messages have been returned and there is no way to speak to anyone who works for the company.
Around 9:40PM on 12/15, I went to pick up an order at the Brentwood location and was not acknowledged until I said something. The manager (pictured in photo) made a nasty remark about not wanting to help me and proceeded to be combative. He never stated if the order was coming out or not, tried to argue about the tone of my voice when requesting assistance, and then stated they don’t have a corporate line and that nothing will happen to him. If this is how people are treated simply for asking someone to do their job, then this manager needs some serious coaching and a thorough investigation.
I have called Ruiz’s corporate line and the phones just ring and you’re sent to voicemail. I left a voicemail, so someone definitely needs to look into the incident at the Brentwood location.
Ruiz McDonald's locations are among the worst in the county. Employment standards at the UCity location are clearly abysmal. Countless issues, exceptionally rude staff in certain stores, consistent incompetence, and a general vibe of "where else ya gonna go?" I'd rather there not be one in UCity than have the one that's here. Hiring children results in childish service. Ruiz is a clear example of owners capitalizing on the struggles of lower income workers, lower income customers, and rock-bottom maintenance practices. Shame on your greed.

This company is the most shadiest company I’ve ever met not only do they not provide fresh and quality food they are downright liars
This is their main office and if you're going to it watch the potholes they will ruin your tires but the people that work there very nice and they're always looking to hire help
This company, Ruiz McDonald's (1300 Baur Blvd, 63132), over the last two years continues to send me emails that are intended for an employee (who must have a similar email address to mine??) I have written to numerous management email addresses at this company to ask them to DELETE my email address from their (often private) employee email lists. To no avail. Next step: I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau in St. Louis. Shoddy business practices, sending private employee emails to a random person in another state who has NEVER worked for any McDonalds, anywhere. EDITED on 9/13. After filing a BBB complaint, I was called by an employee of the company, who is now working with me to remove my email address from their systems. I think this is a resolution.

Restaurantji Recommends
Company that genuinely cares for its employees which becomes apparent when you visit their restaurants. They employee managers and crew that are happy to serve you 🍟🍔
This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. If there was an award for worst customer service, this location would win. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I’ve given this location a chance time and time again given their close proximity to my house. Every time I come to get food, I swear it gets worse. The buns on my quarter pounder were hard, the fries are always cold, the workers are always yelling loudly at each other and not paying attention to the customers. I sat in the second drive through one for 15 minutes along with several other vehicles, before someone came over the intercom and said the second lane was closed. We pulled up to the window, told the lady at the cash register and she didn’t know who told us that, the second lane was definitely open. This place needs to do a LOT of hiring and firing, the people that work here aren’t even competent enough to work a fast food job. The McDonalds at Clarkson and Manchester is literally ran by people with special needs, and they do a better job BY FAR than this location. This store needs bought out and revamped. TERRIBLE LOCATION. STEER AWAY.
This has to be one of the worst managed fast food places in St Louis. In general it seems that they are doing you a favor when they acknowledge your existence and actually come to the register to take your order. From what I have seen they are more interested in chatting with each other and checking their phones than doing their job. Today was no exception. I do not recommend this location whatsoever.
Went to this McDonald and got threaten by the store Manger Christie bc she rang me up for bacon that I didn't ask for. She was really upset as if she didn't do her job correctly. The food was not fresh and this was the worst experience that could have turn left. I called the store manager Chris and he was nonchalant so I will be taking this further.
Disgusting on the inside in Ellisville. Floor is full of water, and sticky everywhere
