Decided to stop by while visiting St. Louis for work. Did not get a welcome greeting. Ordered my drink, decided to close the tab, bartender (of other ethnicity than black, I’ll leave it at that) brings the drink, and when i hand him my debit card, He then rolls his eyes and tells me it’s a two drink minimum to use a debit card. I’ve never experienced such a rule especially after the drink was made and served but i complied and got a bottled water that i didn’t really want but whatever. I suppose i didn’t sign the card receipt fast enough for him so he comes back and essentially demands i sign the receipt right then. I wasn’t in this place but 3 minutes and the experience was already horrible so instead of arguing or going against the grain, getting upset, causing a scene, i simply drew a line through the tip area. Once he collects it he proceeds to say “wow, you’re pleasant”. Mind you, I’ve only said all of 10 words to this man. I didn’t even finish my drink, i immediately left the drink and the bottled water on the bar. He seemed super friendly with the 1 of the total 3 people at the bar at this time so I’m not sure what patrons are preferred at this establishment but i definitely did not feel welcome. I’ll be sure to put this place on my “not welcome here” list if and when i ever come back.

This bar may be small but it’s huge in the way of community. The bartenders are very friendly/funny and the regulars are like family. Very inclusive to all and very respectful as well.

Great staff. Bartenders are not rude there REAL. So if you need a hug or a friend try a different bar. These guys keep it real and are funny (If you have a sense of humor)

Stop by here with some friends because they had a pool table but the bar smelled like urine. The bathroom were nice and didn't smell bad at all but the main bar area was so bad we left.

We came here on a Friday night and it was good bar and everyone seems to be local Internet as far as not feeling like you're strangers.The bartenders are very nice and make really good drinks the prices are reasonable and it has an antique historic feel as well! Definitely worth checking out!

Came here on a night where McGurks was way too packed and uncomfortable. It was about a 5 minute walk down the street so we didn't have to repark our cars. And it was the BEST decision. Drinks were decent, vibe and the entire atmosphere was super eclectic. My friend and I even got to enjoy the pool table in the back all to ourselves. It was definitely the best choice.

Needed to kill some time and ended up here on a late late Sunday night last hour before close. Just me two other guys and the bartender in there, still felt like a nice spot. I’m not a liquor person and the bartender still managed to make a shot I didn’t hate the taste of. Friendly folks. I liked the decor too. Likely be back whenever I’m back up in St Louis.
I keep trying this place, but the staff is frequently rude, and the clientele is really hit or miss. Some pretty unpleasant folks call this home...

The brunette/gray haired bartender with the BAD attitude really needs to go back to school. I asked for an manhattan, this guy built everything in a plastic cup, no no correct measure, used a ton of bourbon a gross amount of sweet vermouth used his dirty hands to pick out a cherry, then poured old cherry juice into the drink. No mixing what do ever. I used to love this place but seriously. The cocktail was nasty and poorly done. I'm also a mixologist in NYC so I know what I'm looking for and this dude clearly did not understand the assignment. also, accourding to google the place closes at 1:30am. We were rushed out at 12:45 so he could close. I'm actually mad I tipped him 5bucks.

1st time I was the there the owner tried me like was some low life because I was from the city. 2nd time the ran me and 12 of my friends out so this place is trash for a gay bar. And yes I'm gay

OMG! We were here on Monday for the drag show and it was hillarious! The show host ("Jade" I think) steals the show!Then we came back last night (Tuesday), and even though there was no show, the place was busy. We ended up playing darts and pool in the back room.After talking to some of the regulars, I think we're going back this Sunday to enjoy the patio and their Halloween party! (I'm going as a puppy!)
