Went with my husband, daughter and her friend a few years ago to the murder mystery theater. It was a blast! My husband was Santa Claus and the killer. The service wonderful and the food was delicious. Here's my husband's Santa Claus picture.
This place is straight up in the hood! The grounds are in severe need of a severe makeover. Had we not been required to pay with CC before hand we would have kept on going! The old house is run down. Tape holding up the old wallpaper. The "dining table" our party sat at was literally a piece of plywood covered with a cheap table cloth. The meal was terrible, The "show" was cheesy as was the mediocre acting. The entire evening was a waste and the price was way to high. AVOID this dump at all cost ??
It wasn't half bad,I can see how it might fit some people better than others.I would say go and see for yourself!
My husband and I visited for the first time tonight. We loved it! I cannot wait to come back. Plenty of laughs and participation from the audience. I know next time ask for a speaking part.
Yesterday was my first visit to Bissell Mansion. Our show was "It's a wonderful Death" and it was incredible!! Charles (George) and Brenda (Mary) where great!! They made the show feel like you were not with strangers, but people you know. I had the part of Olive Twist which was to lead the song at the end of the second act. I was nervous until the show started and everything became so comfortable. Lots of great laughs!! The food was delicious and the staff was very polite and friendly!! I would defiantly recommend!!
We had a fantastic time tonight. Lots of laughs.
The show and service was superb. I would highly recommend if you want something different to do on a Saturday night.
This was my first visit to Bissell Mansion, but not my first dinner theater by any means. This was an easy, fun, professional, amazing evening! Thank you to the staff and performers for a FANTASTIC NIGHT!
“It’s a Wonderful Death” attended over the weekend, and it was outstanding! The Cast and guests put on a terrific show! Food was splendid too! Great time will never forget it! Two
The Green River group was there Saturday October 12th. Great show and food was excellent. Hooray to Mrs White and Mr. Holmes they did a super performance.

Amazing food, service, atmosphere, script, and performance. Would give 6 stars if we could. My husband was a little apprehensive as he's more of a wall flower and picky about food. Now he can't wait to go back and bring friends. Thank you for a wonderful birthday experience.
absolutely horrible at answering the phone and or emails. They finally called us back for reservations 4 days after we left town.
The Bissell Mansion is in horrible disrepair. The grounds are overgrown with weeds. The staff are very friendly and the actors did a great job. The food was horrible. I chose the turkey cordon blue. Big mistake!! It is literally a slice of deli turkey wrapped around a slice of deli ham with some indescribable cheese and then breaded. The potatoes were just boiled red potatoes and the vegetable medley was mediocre. Margarine not real butter for your slice of white bread. Chocolate mousse is really chocolate pudding with cool whip and a cherry. The tablecloths are green vinyl .... seriously? One choice of Chablis... it was awful. The mystery dinner experience is about the actors and the food. It was disappointing. There are much better mystery dinner theaters in St. Louis.
really a great place. funny plays done by great actors. everyone has a great time.
This was by far one of the best evenings out I've ever had. We laughed and I even had a major role in the show. I enjoyed every minute and the food was delicious! I plan on seeing the two next shows this year.
