Excited to have a solid poké restaurant in downtown Maplewood now! I stopped in with a friend earlier this week and was happy to see this location has more seating available than the location on Vandeventer. The neon signs and decor definitely give it a modern vibe. The menus is limited to 10 options but you can get them in a Burrito, Bowl, Salad, or Nachos. I asked the server at the counter what the most popular pick was and she said "Tiger Style". So I ordered the regular size Tiger Style Bowl. She said it's called Tiger Styled because they drizzle both the OG Fire and Unagi sauce on top of the bowl. You have the option to modify your meal as they are building it which is nice if you want to add more protein, veggies, etc. She asked if I wanted jalapeños, I said "I'll pass" but ended up with them on my bowl anyway :/ not a big deal though, I just picked them off. Prices are to be expected- $15.95 for a regular Tiger Style or $18.95 for large. The regular was plenty for me though.

I wanted to give this 4-stars--it's so close--but there were some major things that needed fixing. There were only 3 people in line when we arrived but it took a long while before we were able to order because they were also fixing online orders ahead of those in person. And, apparently, they messed up and were duplicating orders that they had already made! Well, when we were finally able to order, we go to the first guy who basically just fiddles with the burrito orders, placing rice and cucumbers atop the nori then passes it to the next guy who seems to do the bulk of the work. This next guy (buff, Asian dude) also seems to be in charge because everyone working is bugging him with questions! I ordered a salad, so the first guy had to do slightly more, but not much... Anyway, our 2 burritos and 1 salad get made, finally. I turn around and there is a line TO THE DOOR! So, their food line is messed up! Even I've noticed that Chipotle has a separate area to make online orders! Plus, it's NOT NICE to have me watch while you prioritize something else over me, who is standing right in front of you. Food was really good, although my salad was on the dry side. It needed more sauce and I was only given one whereas most poke places give you the option to have two. Prices were fine. The small dining area was getting messy. Busy street parking on Manchester Road.

Blk Mkt has great sushi flavors in the forms of wraps that never disappoint. The new location which is a replacement for the location near SLU is just as tasty with little atmosphere and no soda fountain. I understand the removal of the fountain but the cheap vibe of the dining area is a distraction but well worth your time and money.

We got an OG fire and pineapple Express and split them.. so glad this place finally opened up in Maplewood. The food is fantastic! My only suggestion would be wrapping the sushi "fully" like a burrito so the bottom isn't open (makes a mess when you get to the end of the roll), or maybe using rice paper to close off the bottom (wife suggested that).It's going to be hard not to each lunch here every day now that it's open.. Delicious food and a must visit if you're visiting Maplewood for the 1st time.Parking: All downtown Maplewood businesses on the south side are served by a large parking lot half a block south of Marietta.

First off - 100% delicioso and I will be back. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had large Tiger Style tuna and salmon burrito, no additions or subtractions.Next time, I will probably go for either a bowl or the nachos, bc the burrito is just too messy for me. Imagine a Mexican burrito that is actually sealed and then realize this is literally one giant sushi roll with things falling out the ends. I kept the 2nd half's contents together better with strategic manipulation of the paper wrap.I also wished the cucumbers were julienned or maybe halved for the burrito, but I think the slices would be just fine in a bowl or on Nachos.All in all a solid first run and would highly recommend.

Overall, a wonderful spot in Maplewood for a very unique take on sushi!WAIT TIME: We came in for lunch on a Saturday at 2pm and there were only two person in line in front of us. It moved pretty quickly.FOOD: I ordered the Pineapple Express sushi burrito with tuna and my partner got the Tiger Style sushi burrito with spicy tuna. Both were tasty; the pineapple was on the sweeter side, I recommend the Tiger style one more! We thought it was such a fun take on sushi, to make them into a burrito instead. They also offered options such as wonton chips or poke bowls, which I’ll have to come back to try!SERVICE: Counter ordering, they make it right in front of you. Everyone was very smiley and greeted you warmly.AMBIANCE: It’s a good space for grab and go food. We sat down and ate quickly, not a lot of seating options but just enough to be able to find a spot and eat before you have to run!PRICE: The burritos were $14 and $16 respectively. Comparable priced to getting sushi or poke, so I feel like that’s reasonable!

Walked in and the line was backed up almost to the door. Luckily they make these burritos so dang fast I had my delicious food in no time! They are a well oiled machine and pumped out an impressive amount of orders and everyone's food looked amazing as I patiently waited to get mine. We shared the Krilla Krunch and Tiger Style. They were both amazing and looked just as tasty as the pictures posted here and on their website. The store is small with limited seats but they are in a cool location and definitely worth visiting! Can't wait to come again!

Today I went looking for a food truck and when me and my friends couldn't find it we ended here at one of the best sushi fusion places in St louis. BLK MKT is moving, and apparently, today was the last day at their current location, but even though they were moving, the food did not disappoint. I had a burrito sized sushi roll filled with southern fried chicken, kimchi slaw, arugula, pickles, crispy shallots, og fire sauce. The chicken was fried perfectly, the kimchi was delicious, and everything else added such a complex set of flavors that made the whole experience wonderful. I am not sure what my friends had, but I will add pictures of what they ate as well. Overall, great food, friendly staff and ever better their new place is even close to where I live.
