Best sandwich I’ve had in a long, long time. I had “The Chief” special with roasted pork…unbelievably good. And the owner is just lovely, I’d come back just to chat with him!

Always a great sandwich, no matter what you try. I like the local options for fountain drinks, also. Line may look long but they move pretty well. I probably wait 15 min from when I walk up to having food in my hand, but your mileage may vary. But this is a top 5 sandwich place in STL.

One of the top five sandwich places in St. Louis. Prices are fair. Staff is super sweet. And if you go on a nice day, you'll get to meet tens of friendly locals! Try the Veno, Thunderbird, or the 7th Street Sicilian. UPDATE: The Sally's Spicy Italian is the clear winner. That hot pepper spread is made of dreams. And now they sell frozen pizzas (RIP Milo's)!

This is definitely the best sandwich shop in St. Louis. If you stop in here cause you’re visiting please try blue city the owner is wonderful and doesn’t know how to make a bad sandwich. Everything I’ve tried on the menu is awesome. The staff is great and extremely friendly, they remember your name and who you are when you come in, and they will even give you suggestions due to the fact all the sandwiches are great. It’s hard for me to decide. He also just started making homemade clam chowder which I must say is better than my grandma‘s shhhh don’t tell her this is a must try place give your taste buds what they’re looking for 😊😊😊

You can either get there 20-30 minutes early and be the first in line before they open or wait 15-20 minutes in line, either way you're going to wait. And the wait is well worth it. The Thunderbird is the pinnacle of sandwiches, never disappointing, always delivering for even the most intense, irrational craving. If you get the opportunity don't pass Blues City up.

Cute little spot, went here for the first time yesterday after a recommendation from a coworker. The staff is friendly! They have limited seating. I ordered an Italian beef, doesn’t come with cheese or sauce for dipping- those are both extra $. Sandwich do not come with sides or a drink, so it’s a lil’ on the pricey side. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning from my food. Neither of my coworkers got beef, and they were fine.
