Usually get the thin crust, but got the Sicilian tonight. It’s going to be put into the rotation, so fire!!Tom picked it up with a salad and Tavern wings- the best! Always above and beyond, super nice and hot food!
Thanks Tony and Tony!

Driven past the place twice a day for years finally decided to give it a try. Mrs and I were the only people in the place when we walked in, and were told to have a seat. Every single table was dirty, not with dishes just crumbs and food particles dirty. And the floor looked like it had not been swept in quite a while.
We thought “food might be great” and make up for the looks and cleanliness of the places. Again we are the only people in the restaurant and the TV was playing fox news so loud we had to raise our voices to talk, again all stuff that was easy to fix with good food. We ordered a cheese garlic bread and a pizza with 2 sodas. 40 minutes later our appetizer arrived….then 10 min after that our pizza arrived. I LOVE pizza and we eat it every week, but this was just plain old poor. We ate a few pieces paid the bill and left! We were never asked to fill our drinks or any “small business “ type of services.
I have never written a review for a restaurant before, but this was just absolutely sub standard all the way around. We should have looked around at how dirty it was and left in the beginning. They have all these great pictures on the walls, but most of them have food and food stains on them. I mean there were food crumbs along the corner of the table on every table. If your busy that is one thing, but at 3:15 on a Tuesday afternoon??
In the future if I ever see a place like that again I will just walk out, so this one is my fault for giving a chance. Money wasted, lesson learned.

It was mediocre at best. Poor beer selection and, not everything they list was in stock. Our meatball sandwich was on the cold side and somewhat average. As we were leaving, the bartender felt it necessary to poke a little fun at what I was wearing. An overall disappointing experience. There are so many better locally owned pizza restaurants out there. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the black hair in my ice water...

Soooooo slow. Was over an hour before receiving our food and there was only 3 tables with people. Not worth the wait AT ALL. Pizza was burnt. Had to ask the waitress three times for napkins and twice for a box. Eventually gave up on her and had to go to the counter for our check. She then complained to her coworker in front of us because we didn’t tip enough for her liking. Hands down the worst restaurant I have ever been to.

I can verify and proudly state that this is a family institution that prides itself on serving only the best quality pizza in St. Louis. Mr. Bono spent many years working for Lou Malnati’s in Chicago perfecting his craft and now shares this brick and mortar beauty with his son, Tony. Lador Vador! #TueDudesEat For those of you who enjoy an authentic Chicago style pizza, 2 from our group tried Bono's and they stated this was the best they've had outside of Chicago. I had the Tavern wings, which is a mix between hot and barbecue. These were delicious!

My boyfriend went once without me and enjoyed the drink and pizza. He took me today for lunch to try.
Entered and was ignored for about 10 minutes until the cook asked if we were dining in. I asked if the bar was open and he walked away. My boyfriend saw a lady and asked her if we could order drinks. She said yes and we sat outside. We ordered a margarita and a lemon drop and 2 water. After a long wait, she brought our drinks which were undrinkable. We had to wait again for her to come take our orders after other tables who came after us were helped. She came to take our order and apologized for the delay as she was the only one there…for 5 tables. We got our water after asking again when she brought out the t-ravs. They were nothing to write home about but I was excited to have a neopolatin pizza. After a total of an hour and a half, we still did not have our food. I went in to ask for the check and she refused and said the pizza would be a few more minutes. The pizza came out not even close to what was ordered, wrong crust and sauce. The Cabonara had more mushrooms than sausage and bacon combined…when mushrooms were not even on the description. I got the check and she did take off the pizza, but not the drinks or carbonara. She even said she did me a favor for charging a regular margarita not the premium. I let her know it was not drinkable and still on the table and she rudely replied she was doing me a favor! No there was not a tip left since I paid for 3 things we did not consume. She can use that as her tip.
If you go here beer is good to order, but they only had 2.
We however will not be back.
Happy eating!

We were really saddened to hear our waitress make a comment implying that the young man with brown skin behind the counter was too incompetent to do his job. Don't know if it was the skin color or the age she was referring to but it's not okay.

Delicious Pizza, and wings, STL hidden gem. This place is a well loved, family owned Pizzeria. They have plenty of seating inside (limited seating on the pizzeria side, but ample seating inside the bar) and a small patio with a few tables and chairs. There is a full service bar on the other-side. Ordered a STL style sausage and bacon pizza. It was absolutely delicious. The pizza sauce wasn't too sweet and very flavorful, and there was no need to ask for extra sauce. The crunch of the crust was just right. The wings were my favorite. We got them tavern style. They were cooked just right, slightly crunchy, but yet tender. The sauce on the wings was Smokey and tangy, with a little spice.

We will definitely be back again, and next time enjoy the patio!

The St. Louis Cardinals were playing the Chicago Cubs so I thought St. Louis should assert dominance through eating carbs. Tony Bono’s Pizzeria in St. Louis has both St. Louis style and Chicago style pizza, which is also perfect if you’re indecisive.

You know what else this spot has? A crab and shrimp pizza. #StLouisPescatarianApproved I threw on some jalapeños because all pizza deserves a little spice too.

We like all pizza around here. We do not care about the type of pizza. However, we definitely have a favorite baseball team! Go Cards.
