Ordered dulce de leche & Nutella churros. They are good. But it’s not Nutella, they give you a cup of hersheys syrup to dip it in.

Buenos Aires Cafe is an unfussy eatery in the City Foundry Food Hall. It’s decorated cutely and has signs for empanadas everywhere, so obviously, I had to try some. I got two Spanish Chorizo & Cheese empanadas for $9. A little greasy, mildly spicy, and juicy, these were a perfect snack. The front is left unmanned unless you ring a Ring doorbell, so I assume that means the cashier was working alone and both ringing up sales and prepping food. She was nice, though. I’d definitely visit again!

When I saw City Foundry had a vendor that serves Argentinian food, I told my mom we had to try it! I'm a foodie + love all cuisines + we only have one Argentinian restaurant where I live, so it's always nice to find one in other cities. I love that the food hall has so many different cultural cuisines. We ordered the chimichurri flank steak rice bowl. The steak + sauces were delicious! Cooked + seasoned perfectly forsure, but the bowl was majority rice. The meat to rice ratio was off so it made the dish seem not worth it for the money. The plantains were really good as well though. I wish we would've tried the loaded fries or something else which may have been a better bang fr our buck, but that's not to say I wouldn't return. Definitely wish we would've tried an empananda or a pastry, but there's always next time!

Wanted 3 empanadas. Can't buy 3, have to buy 2 or 4. Dumbest business model in the foundry!

Loved the chorizo empanada and so did my niece. Went back yesterday, but they were closed, so we opted for other places. When they opened, we got empanadas to go and reheat later. Hers didn't make it home!

I wanted to love this place, but they could not even tell me what came on a dish I ordered. I came here to get steak and fries with nothing on it, to find a steak sandwich, with mayo and cheese. The fries that came with are not anything to write home about either, your classic frozen fry from the grocers.

Flavorful empanadas but very greasy. Had the beef and the Spanish chorizo. Try them only when you are on a cheat day diet or when you are stubborn craving empanadas. One of the good things about this place is the covered parking and the atmosphere within The Foundry STL.

When to the Foundry after Putt Shack, walked around and decided to try Buenos Aires Cafe because I love Empanadas. There were about a dozen of them in a front hot case that appeared to be there awhile - I decided to get 2 of them, one. Chorizo and meat and one veggie and cheese. After one of them they made fresh the veggie and cheese they took out of the case - when I bit into that one it was half empty, the other 1/2 had a watery cheese look, zero veggies, it was so bad I didn't eat it. The service was super slow as well, a total disappointment.

I came after the lunch rush (3 pm) so it was a weird time. Service was just okay but again, I think it just was due to the weird time. As for the food, they made it fresh which was great! I got the Latina rice bowl with pork. It was way too salty. The flavors themselves were great but I couldn’t eat a lot of it because of how overwhelmingly salty it was. Overall, for me it was just okay. I wouldn’t order the bowl again but I would be open to trying their empanadas.

I got the steak sandwich with fries. The chimichurri sauce that came on the steak was so flavorful! I like how the sandwich was very simple. The bread was super soft, the steak was tender and flavorful, and there was just enough shredded cheese on top to bring it all together. The fries were super crispy as well. I'd try it again as a rice plate.

Could use a little more seasoning on fries but steak fries wasn't bad.

First time to try. W. O. W. I was absolutely blown away. Had the rice with flank steak, a chicken empanada and a chorizo one. Everything was perfectly seasoned and prepared. Very high quality meal. Main dish made to order and empanadas were super-fresh. I let my family sample because I was raving about the food, and everyone said they are getting what I got next time we come to the Foundry! Staff was helpful with questions, polite and patient. Viva La BA Cafe!!

Worst Argentinean food. I was excited to try empanadas but no Argentinean flavor. I will not come back
