Possibly the best reuben I've ever had.Definitely did not expect that from a zoo cafe.Whoever the chef was at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, March 12th is an absolute champion.Quite a bit of food too, enough to split for a satisfying snack.
We stopped by the zoo which is free to get in, by the way, and went straight to the Cafe Kudu in the welcome center. Grilled chicken and fries hit the spot. The staff were friendly and brought us our meals.
St. Louis Zoo is the best. I've been to several large zoos across the US and this one may be my favorite. My kids (4 and 11) have been several times, and each time we've spent the entire day there and had plenty to do. We like riding the Zooline Railroad between the different zones, visiting the sting rays at Caribbean Cove, the sea lion show, the Children's Zoo, the 4D theater, and riding the Conservation Carousel.
