Don't bother. The food is excellent. The service and organization is awful. It ruined a beautiful birthday meal for a party of 6 people. Ordered two apps, they came out 20 minutes apart. Each dinner dish was served no less than ten minutes apart. By the time the last dish came, the first person was finished. When I spoke to the manager there was no apology. None. He said,"We tried our best. You want to see kitchen and tell us how to do it?" Very poor customer service. On top of all that, they had the nerve to charge a 20% gratuity. Won't be back.

After wandering down Grand and hovering around Cafe Mochi, a young lady walking by casually said to my friend and I to go ahead inside and order a Lemon Drop Sushi Roll. It piqued my interest wondering how it would taste. So we go inside. We were seated right away upstairs and judging by the smell (also shortly affirmed later) by the restroom. I try to tune out the pee smell and carry on with dinner since so many others have boasted about this place. I have a very sensitive sense of smell. It had very low lighting so I felt like I needed a tiki torch to see the menu and to see my thoughts on what I would decide to eat. I decided to order some crab rangoon, a ginger salad and a chicken teriyaki roll. My friend ordered tempura fried veggies and the Godzilla roll. The veggies really didn't have much flavor on the veggie itself nor its batter however the batter was very light and crispy. The ginger salad was nice and cold and the crab rangoon was built differently, but in a good way. It was more like a wonton/mini empanada. The dipping sauce it came with was amazing too. My chicken teriyaki roll was like rolling up a chicken teriyaki wrap in just rice intead of a tortilla. It was very filling and the chicken had a smokey taste to it. That wasabi will clear your sinuses out for the next 3-5 business years. Maybe I'm a little sensitive! The Godzilla roll was pretty good. It was a tempura roll so more fried stuff! Although some of the food lacked the flavor I was hoping to get, it was still overall okay.

I've been here twice and both times the food has been average to below average for the price but the real issue is the service. The restaraunt was only half full and it seemed as though we had been forgotten. For a while. Our waiter also forgot our app and then blamed the customers that accidentally recieved it for eating it and then was loudly complaining to the table next to us about how infuriating getting less than a 15% tip was. Beer was nice and cold!

The food was so good! The service was great! Lights were a lil too dim but it lightened up a lil more throughout the evening.

The pho is tasty! Also, the restroom on the second floor is clean and comfy. No slippery or stinks. Only with the restroom is already a solid five stars.

Good food for a reasonable price. Had dinner here on a Friday night. It was quite busy and seemed to be a bit understaffed but they were attentive. The main reason the service is four stars rather than five is because the wrong food was delivered to our table, and the person who dropped it off did not know what it was so we couldn’t verify whether it was ours or not until a server walked past several minutes later.

This is hands down one of the best Vietnamese restaurants my husband and I have been in. He had the Pho, and I had the Bun Cari Ga.

I hated sushi before I tried this place. Now I go here whenever I'm back in St. Louis, and it has easily become my favorite restaurant. The staff is always so nice, and even recognize me now. I've never had issues with seating or food wait times even when I first started going here. I've also tried a lot and I've liked almost everything despite not being a big fan of seafood. They have so many great sushi options and some of the best white tuna sashimi I've ever had; I also really like the negimaki appetizer and their miso soup. It is definitely pricey, but I think it's worth it.

A group of us went during dinner rush. Many tables were full and that might be why we had to flag down the waiter to get our orders 30 minutes after being seated. That, or he perhaps was new. He didn't check on our table at all during our meal and forgot things like drinks and side plates and dishes for soy sauce. The waitstaff seem to help one another because a different waiter finished the job, bringing us our drinks, keeping our glasses full, and delivering fairly average-tasting food (for sushi) that was not worth the price. If you're going to eat here, best to do it before or after rush hours for a greater chance at better service. Don't heed their website that says they still have Happy Hours. They stopped doing that years ago and should probably update the site.

Cafe Mochi is great as take-away or when dining in. The staff was friendly and efficient either way. They seem to be pros with DoorDash/Uber Eats and/or pickup orders, they keep the line and orders moving. The dining room is spacious and wait staff were on it start to finish.

Sushi was awesome! Definitely some of the best I have had recently. I could tell it was high quality. The hamachi kama was excellent too.

Seven of us arrived around 6:30. Long wait standing. Food served at uneven times. Three were almost finished eating, when the next couple’s food was served. After 8:00 my husband and I had our meals brought to us. The others were finished eating as we hurried through our dinner. Very awkward, and disappointing. Won’t be back.

Came here for bday brunch. Waited for it to open. My son & GF came home all the way from Como, sat outside for 30 mins and no food. They forgot tturn in our order. My kids missed practices cuz of this poor service. What a dissappoinment. How does a server edding forget to turn in an order. Worst part was there was no sign of remorse whatsoever. Sad.
