No sure how they’re still open but i guess i went here and the food was absolutely horrible!! No taste on nthn i felt lik i was eating as if i had high blood bc that’s how much seasoning was on the food and I’ve had Mediterranean food plenty of times and I’ve never tasted any that tasted like this place. Let’s not get into the portions!! Oh wow! They’re so little portioned it’s ridiculous… they give u more lemons and onions on the plate then anything.. just a heads up if u want good food this would NOT be the place.

[July 2025] My friend and I met up for dinner here one night. It has street parking only. When we walked up, I was met with the cutesiest outdoor patio so of course we had to see about sitting out there! They have a signature cocktails menu along with their regular menu but boy it was hard to choose from the options. They all sounded amazing, but I landed with the Seasonal Sangria. It was fruit forward, crisp and garnished with mint. For my meal, I ordered the Nova Gyro. It was jam packed with flavor and came equipped with very well-seasoned fries. I devoured my gyro and took half the fries home (healthy serving!). I cannot wait until it’s summer again so that I can sit on that patio! Just be mindful of mosquitos. They were eating on me while I was eating!

The staff made sure we were all taken care of and made to feel very special.
We had a great time listening to our server tell us about the different menu items and how they were prepared. You could feel the pride he had in Cafe Nova.
He made the whole evening a fun experience, and even volunteered to take several group photos.
The food was superb, the appetizers were excellent, the coffees and other drinks were all exceptional ! We all highly recommend trying this fantastic restaurant.

I hate to be contrary to so many other fine posts but I would be remiss if I didn't relate our experience. There were five of us on the patio for an evening meal. The patio is beautiful and a great place to enjoy and relax. We seemed to have a mix of wait staff working the table with no primary waiter to check on us or ask about refills. I have to say that we have been wanting to try Cafe Nova for quite a while and were really looking forward to a great meal. Unfortunately, the food didn't follow our expectations. Four of the five people commented that their food was bland and tasteless. One entree had a burnt crust on top, which is not "traditional" at all, and it detracted even further from what should have been a very tasty dish. Everyone was polite during the meal but then started comparing our experience and it was apparent that something was wrong when 4 out of 5 people all report bland and tasteless food. I can understand an off night but I don't think that was the case. As most others report, service is rather slow and random. Relaxing on the patio does help that a bit. Hopefully this was a one-off experience with the tasteless food. Mediterranean and Greek food should be bursting with multiple flavors.

Just had dinner and it was terrible. Had the shrimp plate. The shrimp were cold, hard and unseasoned. The rice was the same. Absolutely no flavor. While the patio is beautiful, I did not appreciate the mice running around under our table. The service was just as bad as the food. I was a fan of this place, but won't ever return. Has Cafe Nova changed ownership?

Took my wife out to dinner, dropped off the kids.. wanted to treat my wife to a nice dinner.. ended up waiting an hour and 20 minutes for food. Never ended up getting our food. I asked at least 3 times what we going on. They told me there “prepping it” every other person that kept coming out was completely confused.. I guess the person that worked there. Decided to come out. Got on his knees and apologized that they dropped the food and that we wouldn’t like to eat food off the floor so they were trying to figure out what they would do.. but they didn’t even ask me for what else I wanted because they dropped the food. They also told me 20 minutes after I ordered food that the lamb that I wanted they didn’t have. So I had to get something else. Then they tell me an hour and 20 minutes later that they dropped the food. The owner wanted to offer us a desert, at that point I didn’t even want deser. I just paid for my hummus and left. They offered to make something on the go and I didn’t want that. I just wanted my good. Horrible service. Horrible experience! Also not to mention they came out 55 minutes later to top my water off with WARM water and I was sitting outside.. never again going back.

I love café nova! It’s a little oasis in the middle of the city. The patio is extremely peaceful and large. They do allow dogs. I recommend the spanakopita (vegetarian), salmon bruschetta appetizer, buffalo chicken salad, and gyro with fries.
