The atmosphere is cozy. The wait staff is super nice and friendly. This was our first time eating Mediterranean food. The waiter, who's family owns the restaurant, was more then happy to tell us about the different dishes. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! And he even gave us some baklava for it being our first time there. We live an hour away from the restaurant, but we'll definitely make the trip back!

I used to love Cafe Nova. However the last 3 times we have been there, service has been terrible. The last time we went was the last time I will ever go. The waiter took our order and at least 45 minutes later we were still waiting. When he brought the food he gave me the wrong dish. He never apologized and rudely told me i could wait for the correct dish. I agreed. However it was another 45 minutes before my food came. After I ate, we spent another half hour waiting for our bill. I finally went inside to pay and he told me he took my meal off the check. i was ready to forgive and forget until I realized he took the meal I did not order off - not the one I ordered and ate.

Food and atmosphere were phenomenal! The waiter was nice, but a little slow with bringing us things. That said, I am a customer who likes prompt service. You may like a more laid-back atmosphere ?Vegetarian options: Good falafel, hummus, yummy Greek salad.

We visited the area on a small ladies get-away and found this gem. The place was beautiful! Inside was more of a smaller more personable environment where outside had so many different options for seating that had so much character. Now the food, was exceptionally delicious! The serving sizes were perfect for the price, especially in today's economy. Honestly the best food I've ever had. What really put the cherry on top, was the service. We had the BEST service. I even had requested a to-go order in bulk because the food was soo delicious & they exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be back if & when we come back to the area. I've also, included a few photos of some of the dishes our party had.
Introduced for the first time today! I think I'm in love! Can't wait to go back!

Waited a VERY long time to get waited on, to place our order, and to get our food. Over an hour in total before we actually took our first bite. My chicken was dry. The pita was rubbery. The tzatziki lacked flavor. The fries were delicious and certainly the best part of the meal. My boyfriend had a burger and it was not cooked all the way through…which, had the temperature been asked for, maybe that would’ve been ok. The service was not personable…and certainly never apologized or explained the reason for the wait. Never asked how our food was. Had to go to the counter to ask for our check. This was at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon, mind you. The place was not busy and there were 3 servers. I hope our experience is not the norm. We will not be returning.

First things first: this is the best and most interesting spanakopita I have ever had. It looks like it was baked in a small loaf tin or something and is so flavorful and crispy. Tzatziki also AMAZE.Given what I ate, you probably can’t have a bad meal here. However, as someone passing through town that doesn’t live here this was my first time eating Cafe Nova. I was directed to the online ordering through square directly from the google maps page. There were zero descriptions of anything except the title. I ordered falafel, a large Greek salad, some baklava and the spinach pie. ALL of them came with salad. If I would have known I wouldn’t have spent an additional $12 on a large salad. They also forgot my baklava which was really what I was looking forward to so super bummed about that.For those out of towners like me maybe call in your order so you can clarify exactly what you are getting + check your order for accuracy.

Soooo good!! The staff seem like family toward each other and it feels very comforting. I've dined in and done carry-out multiple times and it's equally as good eating there in person or lasts the car ride home. Traditional Gyro is one of the bests I've had, the falafel option is also great. Patio is a VIBE on a nice day.

Stopped into town for a quick day trip and planned to meet up with a fried who chose this spot. When we arrived the rush hour had not started and I was able to pick open seating. Service took a very long time even though we were there at a early time. We got the salmon brushcetta and it was delicious!!! The main meal, the nova gyro was just ok. Taste was lacking in meat and toppings.

I had a craving for some Mediterranean food and was so excited to hear that there were several near me in South City! I decided to give this place a try since they had good reviews and we're pretty close to me. The entire place, inside and out, was beautiful and decorated. I ordered their pastitsio and bonus points that it was a decent price AND came with a side salad But I was disappointed that it was a little dry and also wasn't made with the traditional tubular pasta.
