Our family attended Easter Brunch with a 1pm reservation at Cardinals Nation Restaurant (keep in mind their last seating wasn’t until 3pm.) One of their highlighted menu offerings was chilled shrimp - my kids had this at the top of their brunch list and for one of my kids, is the only protein on the menu he would have eaten. Upon our arrival, no shrimp were found. We asked our server as well as the manager on staff who both nonchalantly stated “we are out of shrimp for the day.” The other menu highlight - customized omelets - ha! A single (very kind and patient) man was manning 2 small pans with a very long line. It took my son and I about 20 min to get through that line. Also, the only omelet adds besides cheese were green pepper, mushroom and ham. As for the rest of the food, it was decent but nothing to write home about…I would say pretty typical of other buffet offerings, so this isn’t a complaint.I typically wouldn’t write a negative review, except these 2 things happened…1) The woman caring for our table was rude, pushy and never came back after initially dropping our drinks and answering the shrimp question. Oh, she did come back when it was time for us to pay. No refills were brought, even when asked as she passed by our table. 2) When we walked upstairs to visit the Hall of Fame following our meal, there was a very large bowl of shrimp nested atop a second buffet. Curiously there were only 2 seated tables up there. Very odd to say the least.Yeah I know, this all sounds whiney like “oh poor family, can’t have shrimp at brunch” but when you’re paying $170+tip on an Easter brunch they should have everything they are advertising. We won’t be going back here for any other special occasion brunches and wouldn’t recommend. Maybe we will try it again sometime for regular dining if we are headed to a ballgame, but with many other establishments in the immediate area it’s highly unlikely.

Nicely cooked frisco burger and margaritas were tasty . Environment was friendly for the most part

We came on the Cardinals Kids night which touted games, prizes, and Fredbird. The service was good and efficient. I had a burger and my son had the chicken fingers. Adequate. He ordered pretzels and got about 10 little round pretzel bites for $10.00. Way too expensive in my opinion. They touted games and prizes. We never saw any prizes, and the games were a big bowling set and checkers. Not exactly what they advertise. Fredbirdm however, was the star of the night. He was super fun with the kids and hilarious. If it wasn't for him this would be a downer. They need someone to plan it who can market to kids. The lady that seemed in charge looked mad.

Salad came out with everything that was requested to not be in it, sodas tasted funny, there was barely any tables and are server was nowhere to be found. Overall was a terrible experience and will not be back.

Loved Fred Bird! Worth it for sure. My daughter's mac-n-cheese was dry so she didn't like it or eat it. My hubby said his sandwich was “ok”. My food was very good. Our server was awesome. Overall great experience! Just “ok” food.

I wish we had photos! It was the weekend before Thanksgiving and the opening night of Winterfest. Honestly, we thought there would be more people out eating and enjoying the not so bitter cold weather but it was a ghost town over at Cardinal Nation. We were the only table in the whole place for dinner so that was kind of nice. There was a dj there which was kind of weird since no one was there to enjoy it lol! But he was a very good dj! So that was a plus. I can't remember our server's name but he did amazing. We had a party of 8 with a 2 year old who was on and off cranky. He was so patient and easy to ask questions to about the menu and such since it was our first time there. We ordered a few different things. A kids chicken meal (no complaints from the hungry 7 yr. Old) , a fried chicken sandwich with a salad and fries (it was pretty okay over all but I've had a little better), there 2 giant orders of nachos ordered and they came out looking incredible! However, womp womp, they were freezing cold so the queso was hard. They had to send them back and get fresh ones. Our server was so embarrassed. The couple other sandwiches were tasty and made well we ordered. Overall the experience had its ups and downs but the food wasn't bad at all. They corrected the nacho issue without any annoyance and they were delicious! We never needed a refill on drinks because he was on top of it. Everyone enjoyed their choices overall. I think the place would be crazy during the Cardinal season but i bet the energy is awesome!

The people working there were very friendly and attentive, we had an amazing experience. Our waitress was a lady named Violet I believe, and she was very wonderful. Food came out in a timely manner, even followed up with some dessert.

Cardinals nation is one of the restaurants/bars inside of ballpark Village in the heart of downtown St. Louis right next to Busch stadium. It is cardinals baseball themed with different Cardinals memorabilia spread out around the restaurant making it feel like you're inside a cardinals museum. You can sit at one of the many large tables or at the bar and enjoy a good meal and a drink, there are a few TVs near the bar so you can catch any games that are on. The food menu offers normal bar food ranging from wings, burgers, toasted ravioli and much more. The drink menu has cocktails, margaritas, and a wide range of beer. The service is good and the staff is friendly. Since you are in right across from Busch stadium you will have plenty of parking options, there is the street parking as well as the huge ballpark Village parking lot or the multiple parking garage is that are a short walk away.

The Penne Alfredo with Broccoli wasn't terrible, but still bad. They used spiral macaroni noodles and it was lukewarm. The broccoli was really good, but was on the side, instead of being chopped and mixed with the pasta. The thin cheese strips were interesting. Aside from the food, they had the music blaring for the first ~15 minutes we were here, until both our group and another table asked the DJ to turn it down a bit. They were also out of the only appetizer and desert I wanted: pretzel bites and gooey butter cake. I came here with family after a holiday event, but I'll never be the one to suggest, "Let's go to Cardinals Nation".

If you are a sports fan, and especially a St. Louis Cardinals fan, you will enjoy this place. Everything is in red, and the vibe is good! I ordered one of their burgers. They are all well done, so be aware of that.

We attended our annual brunch with Santa and Fredbird and as always it was a fantastic time. Service was good for a brunch and the food was fine. The kids activities with the same as last year but Santa and Fredbird are always the All-Stars. Always interacting and having a great time with the kids, especially Fredbird getting up to his usual hijinks, as if he was at a baseball game.

The food was above and beyond what we have experienced in the past. Service was great this year. Santa and Fredbird always put a huge smile on our daughter's face and we love the event! The cost for the event continues to climb which will be hard to justify in the future. Overall we are pleased with the experience!
