I've been wanting to try Carl's for some time, and finally got around to it. Pastrami is my favorite, so I tried it hot on rye with pepper cheese. It was tender and delicious! I was partial to the pastrami at Nomad before they closed, but this was a close second, and really hit the spot!

Absolutely fantastic Reuben and roast turkey sandwiches. Don’t go, because you’ll make the line longer for me LOL.
They use boars head, which is a nice product. The pastrami sandwich I got was great,sliced correctly. Price was very fair considering the price of beef. Good selection of drinks sides and chips. STL is blessed with so many great lunch options.

The sandwich was delishhhh! I had a smoked turkey breast hoagie and everything was extremely fresh. I gave the service 4 stars because the lady at the register turned her back to me after helping the customer in front on me and never turned around to ask if she could help or we'll be right with you or anything. I had never been here before and wasn't even exactly sure if I was standing in the right place to make my order. An older lady came from the back to ask if I had been helped then they took my order. It's all good though I'll still be back!! I really had no opinion to give about the atmosphere. Looks like your typical family owned neighborhood deli. I'd still choose to eat here over a chain 😉

Should definitely fix your hrs on here because I’ve drove an hr 2 times now for yall to be closed when I get there but it says that your opened that would seem normal on a week day around noon the food is to good to not let us come when we need it at the listed hrs online we drove to another deli down the street and it’s not even close to the quality of food I hope your able to get the work hrs figured out soon

I ordered three rubber sandwiches and I must say they like on the meat. They need to stop wrapping sandwiches with plastic wrap. The bottom bread was too wet which made the sandwich fall apart. There was not a lot of saurkraut on my rueben. I had to take it home replace the bread and pan grill it to toast the bread. I took the extra meat and put it in a storage bowl. The pickled were really slimey.
