I've been wanting to try Carl's for some time, and finally got around to it. Pastrami is my favorite, so I tried it hot on rye with pepper cheese. It was tender and delicious! I was partial to the pastrami at Nomad before they closed, but this was a close second, and really hit the spot!
They use boars head, which is a nice product. The pastrami sandwich I got was great,sliced correctly. Price was very fair considering the price of beef. Good selection of drinks sides and chips. STL is blessed with so many great lunch options.
The sandwich was delishhhh! I had a smoked turkey breast hoagie and everything was extremely fresh. I gave the service 4 stars because the lady at the register turned her back to me after helping the customer in front on me and never turned around to ask if she could help or we'll be right with you or anything.
