“Truly a hidden gem! When we first went to tour the venue, we were a little uncertain from the front parking lot. The entrance is very unassuming. Do not let that deter you! Once you enter the hall you are greeted with a beautiful space! From the black and white floors, the amazingly ornate wooden bar along the dance floor, the lounge areas, the fireplace and the perfect mood lighting, the hall is an absolute dream! The staff is amazing from the beginning of planning until after your big day. Incredibly friendly, and responsive and just all around great to work with. Hendri’s also offers their own catering, and they provided a wonderful meal that was complimented by many of our guests throughout the night. Even if you have another venue, I would suggest checking out Hendri’s for catering as they also cater offsite. All in all, I cannot say enough good things about Hendri’s, and highly suggest checking them out!“

“Callier's Catering just catered by daughters wedding and it was amazing. I had been to a plated reception by them and we went with a buffet and both were exceptional. The most stressful thing with a wedding is the food. I had so many people come up to me and say the food was so good. The meatloaf lollypops and fried cannelloni apps were wonderful and I received many compliments on the parmesan encrusted chicken. Thanks to Catherine and her staff. “I had heard about Pappy's for years before I actually went, which is embarrassing because it's not like I live that far. You hear enough people talk about a BBQ place like it's a life experience and you start to think they're being dramatic. They're not. The line was long when we got there, moved faster than expected, and everything after that was just really good food.
The baby back ribs are what this place is built on and they deserve the reputation. They come out dry-rubbed and slow smoked over apple and cherry wood, no sauce on them by default, and they don't need it. The bark has this slight sweetness from the wood and the rub and the meat underneath is tender without being fall-off-the-bone to the point of mushiness. There are four sauces on the table and you can go ahead and try them, but honestly the first rack I ate without any sauce at all and didn't feel like I was missing anything. The burnt ends were just perfect little caramelized cubes of beef that I kept eating until they were gone. The fried corn on the cob is a weird thing to talk about this much but I'm going to anyway because it's excellent, just a whole cob lightly battered and fried and it's hot and crunchy and a little sweet. We also got the baked beans which had plenty of meat mixed in and a good kick to them.
Counter service, seats yourself after ordering, loud and fun atmosphere. The place closes when the meat runs out so there's a hard daily limit. They're not going to reheat something to serve you the next day and that's the right call. Show up when they open if you can. I went back the following morning for an early lunch before driving out of St. Louis and had the pulled pork sandwich this time, which was simpler and still really good. There's something about the consistency here that you notice across visits, nothing feels like an off day or a rushed plate. The whole operation runs like they take it seriously but nobody in there looks like they're stressed about it, which is a hard combination to pull off.“

Definitely ordered too much but that’s because we didn’t realize the subs were so packed with meats and cheese. Probably the best subs we have ever eaten. The pastas, fruits, cheeses, and salads were delicious as well. Our only disappointment was with the roast beef sandwiches which were lacking in the meat department as compared to the subs. “From the first time connecting with Coleen to Chelsea and her team on-site during the wedding day, my husband and I felt Butler's Pantry went above and beyond in their service. Our venue was a blank slate so Butler's Pantry had to bring in everything. They did not disappoint and our reception looked amazing! The chairs, table, place settings and buffet display were beautiful. All of our guests raved about how good the food was and how beautifully the buffet was displayed. The servers even went and asked kids (who didn't originally sign up for a kids meal) if they wanted one and made it happen. We had multiple food allergies and the staff was wonderfully accommodating and everything was served to the correct people. We knew the night was going to go well when we arrived at our outdoor ceremony/reception venue (during 90-degree heat after taking bridal party photos) and 3 staff met us with water and kept checking on the whole bridal party. The whole staff checked on us throughout the night and the staff leaders checked on us before they left at the end of the evening. They were all wonderful, kind, helpful, professional and the food tasted AMAZING! We are so glad we chose Butler's Pantry!“

From start to finish, Rachel did the most wonderful job helping us plan and execute my only daughter’s dream wedding at Silver Oaks. Basically, we picked the menu and Rachel took care of the rest. I’m really not exaggerating about this. I don’t live in STL and our daughter’s work schedule made it nearly impossible to do any face to face planning with Rachel. Then, unfortunately, 60 days out from the wedding, my father-in-law fell ill and passed away a month later. I share, not for sympathy, but to say this. You can certainly find other catering solutions in the STL area. But, it you want an absolutely stress free, beautifully catered event, Patty Long Catering is the go to vendor. TONS of compliments from our guests about the superior service and by far the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding! The wide range of menu options made it hard to choose. They ranged from traditional fare to fun selections, vegetarian, kids meals, buffet style or served dinner. We decided to go with a sit-down dinner for 225 people. The last thing we wanted was our guests waiting in long buffet lines like we’ve experienced at other weddings. In order to overcome long lines, multiple buffet stations could be used. However, buffet service takes away square footage from your dining area. So, if you’re tight on space, served dinner is a way to mitigate that. We went with the Dueling Plates menu option. Each guest received both portions of chicken and beef, garlic mashed potatoes, and a roasted vegetable medley. I don’t know how they kept all those plates warm and food delectable, but they did. The wait and bartender staff were fun, kind, and super responsive. They served each course and retrieved empty plates with military precision and efficiency. Rachel and the staff made sure everything went smoothly throughout the entire evening. It was overall just the most lovely experience! I cannot recommend them enough; Patty Long is our caterer for life!!“

Stumbled in off the street for a bite to eat during the Lafayette Christmas home tour. I’m beyond happy that we did.

Every single thing we ordered was so good that it almost makes you sad to eat it - knowing you’ll run out eventually. It made me savor and appreciate every bite.

The bread service was my favorite thing by far. It’s a Tuscan style focaccia called schiacciata which is thinner, chewier, and crispier. Served with high quality olive oil and house made pesto. I could annihilate multiple loaves in one sitting.

Most impressively is the open kitchen that you see as soon as you walk in. The executive chef, herself, is manning the helm and making everything fresh to order. A sight to behold.

This is a place worth making a special trip even if you live an hour away.“
