Tina the planner was wonderful, but I was dissatisfied with the quality of the passed appetizers, very small shrimp and cold meatballs. The chicken entree was cold and way too salty. We didn’t have enough dinner rolls for our table and took a while to get more. Just really dissatisfied with the quality of the dinner. And note: I voiced the chicken was too salty at the tasting. Guess they didn’t pay attention to that. Other guests said it was too salty as well.

I have to say I’m shocked at the decent rating of CSL, I have a hard timing believing others had a pleasant experience when using this company. Our experience planning our wedding with them was painful to say the least, from beginning until after the wedding. It was required from our venue (Missouri Botanical Garden), that we use CSL for our wedding that was a month ago. From our beginning emails with CSL, up to our wedding day, there was never a time that we felt valued as a customer, but more an inconvenience for them in every way. Our original wedding date got changed after we had paid our (large) deposit for our wedding date in May 2024, which CSL did partially compensate us for, but that’s about the only positive thing I’d have to say for them. After signing the contract and paying large deposits, we were told the price per person was to go up, which in the end was a couple thousand more dollars even though we signed the contract prior to the price increase. We asked for a golf cart to take us to the back of the garden for family photos. They said it would be $750 for 2 hours. After a few weeks thinking about it, we decided to go ahead and do it for convenience for our older family members. Then they said we didn’t meet their deadline, so we were SOL. But “were lucky they even offered it in the first place, as this is a new service they’ve offered.” ???? It wasn't until I got ahold of the gardens president that we had any assistance and got a $300 golf cart for 2 hours. We had a strict, almost impossible timeline for our wedding day, as our vendors could only enter 2 hours prior to the event to set up even though the CSL staff were there setting up earlier in the day. We were told in our first venue tour that we’d be the only event in the garden at that time, due to renting the Bayer Event Center that evening and having the last ceremony time. Also, they said ONLY light instrumental music is to be played outside at ALL times. Well not only was there another wedding right next to ours that at the same time, a guest from that wedding almost walked INTO the front of our wedding ceremony by the alter while talking on the phone. THEN their loud (NOT instrumental) music was blasting through the garden during our cocktail hour and speeches. We had some outside vendors show up with additional assistance we were not informed of prior to the day, and they requested vendor meals. Well the coordinator for CSL said “sure no problem, we will just charge the couple.” Even though we had additional plates already paid for from guests that did not show up. We were told we would have those plates boxed up and given to us since they were paid for. Well guess what, that didn’t happen either. So we paid for food that we didn’t receive, and got charged for even MORE plates for our vendors assistants after the wedding. Even though you pay a luxury price tag for this service and these venues, you’d get better service ordering a value meal at Dennys. So disheartening to have that service when you think this hospitality business would do anything to make a wedding party happy. Such a shame they have reign over all the wonderful venues in St. Louis. If you want a pleasant planning experience, DON’T book this company.

Our magical night at the spink pavilion began 14 months before. I was planning from out of town and from the beginning the communication with everyone was amazing and so easy! Rhonda was our coordinator and always responded with kindness and attention to detail. Every request I made was honored. The set up 2 hours before the event was thoughtfully planned and executed flawlessly. The staff was cheerful and attentive. All of this led to a magical evening in a stunning venue! The meal was not only complimented but called one of the best meals they had ever had. I’m so grateful I chose St Louis catering!

Great company that my family and I have used on many occasions throughout the years. They have many different event spaces depending on what vibe you are going. Our last event was last month at City Cottage. The space accommodated our large guest list and never felt cramped. We love the different areas and seating options that all flow very nicely throughout the space. They have several areas to sit and relax, high-tops, low tops, bar tables, etc. The space really makes you feel at home and that was the mood we were going for. The food and service was excellent. All around superior experience when working with Catering St. Louis.

We used Catering St. Louis Events for my wife's celebration of life party. We had a sit-down lunch and we served the roast chicken sandwich and tiramisu for desert. Food was 4.5 stars and the service was 5.5 stars. My only suggestion is they should start accepting payment from cash apps like Zelle, Venmo, ...Highly recommend.

She was so helpful with all of our questions and was super knowledgeable. The room looked beautiful. All the food was absolutely phenomenal- from the apps to the salad to the entrée. The beef tenderloin (part of our entrée) was cooked perfectly. We received several compliments on the food. We had some guests say it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding. The staff was friendly and helpful too. We can't say enough about Rhonda and Catering St. Louis. We are so happy we chose them for our wedding reception. Everything was perfect.

I had our sons Rehearsal dinner on 6/10/22 at the Spinx Room at the Mo Botanical Gardens. Tina Opdenbrouw was our event planner. I could not have asked for a better experience. The food was amazing, the staff the night of the event were amazing and the planning part with Tina was stellar! I wish I could post my professional pictures but cannot at this time. Hope to post later.The wedding was 6/11/22. Wedding Guests that were not invited heard how wonderful our RD turned out and wanted to know why they were not invited. ??Without the help of this great staff I could not have done this and made such wonderful family memories. This night was worth every penny I paid for 60 guests.
