This should be 5 stars. The first time I went they messed my order up. I brought the order they gave me back and they had the food I was supposed to originally got was cold. Tried to give them a second chance and went back a different day. It was cold the second time. The food tasted good. But failed to be great due to cold temp. When complained about it the lady tried to finagle through the mistakes with game talk. Overall food was ok but can't get over the quality of food they let go out the door and the mistakes of handing out the wrong order

Was craving some noodles so I randomly stopped here and ended up having a cheap, good meal. I didn't know it was cash only but I had 5 bucks so I got noodles and pork. I was a quarter short but they said it was ok, which was very nice. Ended up with a generous serving of pork and noodles in a tasty broth and couldn't be more satisfied.

Ordered hot braised chicken. It was reheated already fried chicken a day or so old as it was chewy and when you pulled the skin off, you could see that it was old. Very disappointed.

I've been going to this Chong Wah for years. I was back and forth due to the fact my food started tasting funny, yet fresh butt what is this smell. Real funky like. So I opt for Noodles from now on. Ordered vegetable noodles and my noodles smelt the same way. I don't know if yal not changing your bowls for leaving rice sitting in them for too long. It didn't use to smell like this now your restaurant starting to smell. I'm posting this now because I ordered a plain ham vegetable StPaul and it was burnt, I brought it back in and you put lettuce, tomato and mayo on it. I said plain, so I guess you were in your feelings because you know me and what I order. So, you gave me my food and it was smashed. Is it a black issue? Because you come here and get support from Black people faithfully, be it: Beauty Supply, Chinese food, Nails, etc and I definitely lived by your Chinese restaurant, and was happy. Then how the world turns it's no more. I'm very disappointed in you because your going down in your restaurant like your cousins across the street. That is why I started coming to Chong Wah in the first place, due to word of mouth of another customer, now I'm good on Chong Wah yal food quality is horrible!

Let me start out saying this place once served great food and I've been coming to this place for year's on and off, with that being said it's really going down or went down it's smelly, boxes everywhere just right down dirty they used to keep it some what decent but not I'm sad and disappointed of the quality of the food and the atmosphere of this place but one thing for sure they keep going up on the prices my food was overly cooked I had to take it back and they still didn't get it right I will no longer spend money at a place that serve bad quality food! with things being so expensive these days I refuse to except anything less I will not be returning back to this place, please invest money into your place and not make money off the poor people in the neighborhood and serve food that's worth coming back too!!! I label this place truly of hole in the wall they can do a lot better.

Tried to order food from here by calling . My order was either misread or not taken at all. I arrived to be told by the woman who took my order that they didnt have it & I could order then. Why give me a cook time on the phone if you didnt get my order? Horrible customer service, much worse than I remember. My family eats here a lot & this made me not want to go back.

The food is decent for the price, but nothing amazing. It's the most affordable Chinese food in the area. They keep the costs low, and for that it's cash only. The woman usually running the counter is very direct and business-only. She does make good suggestions if you ask her. I usually get the sweet & sour chicken. I recommend getting the sweet and sour individually and not the combo, so you can add the sauce to it yourself. The combo gets a bit wet and messy when it comes all mixed in together for you already. Not really a spot to eat there, so it's not quite a dine-in establishment. Take the food and go home with it. Your experience may be hit or miss. I'd say it's average if you're needing a cheap food craving, but there are probably better options if you're willing to pay more.

I played ny order. Waiting to them to prepare it. As I’m waiting a roach appears. I kindly informed the employee. She stated do you want your money back. The young man said the roachs are only in the dining area. If you see one there’s a family. I have to leave a star to leave a review

I go to eat at this place every time I'm in town this is where I go to get me a veggie St Paul. I have never been to this place and did not like the food.

Vegetarian options: Veggie St Paul, lo mein etc..

Django Freeman

It did the job but, the St. Paul was oily, bread oul soaked & made the sandwich hard to eat. The rice was aight.
