I liked the atmosphere. Very busy, pre-theatre. Seemed to have 1 server, with lots of help. Food. My husband had the shrimp and grits. Good, could have been seasoned more. I had the Grand Burger, very good flavor. The pretzel bun and Gouda, very good. There was also bacon and French fried onions on top. I didn't eat those. I did enjoy the jam beneath the burger. Coffee was lukewarm and the chocolate cake was just ok. Would I go back? Yes, the salads looked delicious as did the flatbread.
Audrey was a great server! She had a lot of tables to tend to and she did a great job while remaining calm and pleasant. The room had a nice visual aesthetic but was freezing cold. The wine by-the-glass selection was very minimal, underwhelming, and overpriced. The scallop dish sounded wonderful - and the scallops themselves WERE good - but the dish didn't live up to my expectations. I watched the bar tender turn away several people from a nearly empty bar because they didn't have reservations. That felt pretentious. I likely won't return.
Kind of disappointing experience.Commonwealth salad lists ingredients like kale and orange glazed pecans that were not present in it at all. When inquired about it,all that happened was “they will let the cook know”. The $30 dish(totally overpriced, not worth the money) with grits and sauce had only 4 medium sized shrimp and was too salty. The wine was fine, the service was ok. The only appeal is the location of the restaurant as it's walking distance from key venues on Grand Blvd.
Audrey was a fun server who took great care of our group of girls during our recent dinner. She was so accommodating and gave great food and drink recommendations. Commonwealth was a great choice for a pre-show dinner.
Wonderful food and cocktails. Our server was mindful of our 7:30 curtain at the Fox theatre and had us eating and drinking with time to spare. Perfect pre theatre location and top notch quality food and service.
Received and seated immediately with energetic kindness and smiles. Audrey was very personable and knowledgeable. Timing was impecable. Management checked on us with genuine care. Couldn't have asked for a better service and the food was portioned well with outstanding flavor and cooked to perfection. Can't wait to return.
Chefs food was AMAZING!!!! romantic type artist feel!! will absolutely come back!!!!!!!! Beautiful!
Excellent!
It's an excellent restaurant to stop at before a show. Leave enough time, they let you take your time. If your show is at 7:30 be sure you start at 5:30. Cocktails are fantastic, along with the spinach and artichoke dip. Hubby always gets their grand burger which is unbelievably GRAND. I enjoy the salmon or the Regianno chicken.
The food was great—I highly recommend the snapper and truffle fries!! It was very busy, so our server worked hard. The food came out hot and as expected. The only downside to this restaurant is the noise. It was very boomy in the space, and it was hard to hear my wife.

Our server Audrey was attentive, pleasant and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Love the retro artsy ambiance and close to the Fox. Will definitely be back!
An excellent place to grab a bite before a show at the Fox wonderful food just warning the portions are enormous so be careful if you order appetizers that could end up being your meal
Disappointing. The food served was nothing like the description on the menu. When the server first came to the table, she rattled off a litany of items they were out of. This was early in the evening, so I was surprised by such a long list. To be clear, the server did a nice job. She was pleasant and attentive. She was simply stuck in an unfortunate situation. I ordered grilled salmon, but it arrived with a thick layer of sauce on top (yuck!). Quite unexpected. The salmon itself was dry, and it arrived with a completely different collection of sides than what the menu indicated. I expected cauliflower but I got broccolini. I don't even like broccolini. I expected couscous and got some bland rice instead. I won't be returning.
Mikaela excellent server! Food also excellent as well. I had stuffed mahi- mahi & my wife had salmon. Great place to eat prior to show @nearby Fabulous Fox Theater.
Hotel restaurant is beautiful decorated, nice staff and food is tasteful. It was just extremely quiet.
