Companion is a a MUST TRY!
The menu is filled with a ton of great breakfast and lunch items. My favorites are the harvest salad, Frenchie sandwich, and all of their soups! Be sure to save room for their house-made breads and pastries!
Call ahead for easy service to go or wait in line, it moves quickly.

Companion sandwiches are the BEST! They do large catering orders for us at work and service is excellent. They pay attention to details and are very helpful with food allergies/restrictions. Jodi is amazing to work with.

Great food! No process for carryout orders thou… Waited for 15 minutes at the counter while staring at my completed order. Frustrating…

Food was delicious, great price, and fast. You get there and the line is never-ending but it moves along fast. They have it run like a well oiled machine. By the time you get to the register your food is ready, hot/cold and fresh. I ordered the French dip, it didn't disappoint.
There are lots of freshly made tuna salad, chicken salad, pies, pastries, specialty breads, etc..to check out along your journey in the line to the register. I did take a 1lb container of chicken salad and a loaf of baguette came with it, to go. It was good, but a bit expensive. Their huge apple pie was almost irresistible, but it didn't have a price on it, so I left it there. There were a few items that had no prices on them and after the cost of my chicken salad I know why. I will get that apple pie next time though, even if it cost a bit more than I think it should.
The place is very nicely decorated, not alot of inside seating. There was outdoor seating with umbrellas to enjoy, even a smaller section for children. Very quaint place. I will definitely go back.

I came here on Friday for lunch with my brother and 2 friends! We all had a delicious and amazing lunch here. Three of us gut the Choo Choo Chicken sandwich. The other one got a lox sandwich. We also got the Gooey Butter Bar. They also have the best Gooey Butter Bar! All of the food here is extremely delicious! I definitely recommend that you come. I’m definitely going to come back next time I come to St Lois

REALLY good food. I work down the street at LMS, and we had food for a working lunch. I had the half Choo Choo and the harvest salad. I was so impressed with the food, I went back again the next day. Got the FULL Choo Choo, fresh fruit and the cream cheese brownie bite, which absolutely did not miss. I cannot stand when I'm served fruit that isn't ripe, but that wasn't the case here. Pineapples, melon and blueberries were all ready to eat. I'm looking forward to trying more options. Great sandwich!

We were looking for a place to eat near the new SLCL Clark Family library and happened to pick this place. What a charming little bakery and cafe! We got a half salad and half grilled cheese sandwich and both exceeded our expectations. The staff is lovely, the food made with care, and the vibe friendly. We're certainly looking forward to returning here.
Vegetarian options: There are a handful of items that are vegetarian and I'd bet the staff would be happy to help.

Mediocre at best. Nothing special here, just long lines.
The food is always good. With the remodel I wish they would have implemented their order taker entering the order into whatever system/application, instead of you telling them and they try to remember and then they ask you again. Then when you move to the other end of the counter you have to repeat your order again at least twice, all while trying to have these conversations in a busy and loud room. Regarding the remodel, the dining portion of the room got smaller. Three booths were added that are a tight fit. Only a few two person tables. I don't think the space given up was necessary for their "grab and go" refrigerator.

I was skeptical coming here for a while. I would always frequent the Westport location before they closed so driving to Ladue was a bit out of the way and a bit upscale for some coffee and pastries but these aren’t just any pastries are they? I find myself going 5-7 miles out of the way JUST to get a bowl of oatmeal from here 2-3 days out of the week and I don’t regret it one bit. I’m going to have to learn how to perfect my own oatmeal but until then I will happily splurge on theirs (I get brown sugar, pecans, and craisins on mine) and get the occasional piece of deep dish gooey butter cake for my daughter and I to snack on all week or the soup when a flavor catches my eye.I’ve not had a bad item off the menu yet and don’t imagine I ever will. Love the new updates too.
